UMaine Hockey 23 - 24: The Barr Crawl to Glory!!!

I like the scoreboard obviously, but I didn't think it was a great period. But shows how strong Maine is that they can be leading without playing their best.
 
Also the saturation on the ESPN+ feed is brutal, ice is way too bright. I like broadcast team for Union well enough but they should turn the brightness down.
 
Must be good hard ice tonight. Maine appeared to find the puck getting ahead of them on simple taps at the beginning of the game. That might payoff if they adjust.
 
Nothing on the board in the 2nd period, but Maine looked like the better team. An early goal in the 3rd would really help, but hope they don't take their foot off the gas.
 
Union played better than I expected, especially in the 3rd period.

No complaints about another road win for the Black Bears!

Translated for the rest of you who didn't bother to read the BC propaganda page ... BC wasted their last 18 years in the ACC, they're out of their league, and should be looking to play more "suitable" opponents. LOL. Not like the rest of the world didn't see that coming 20 years or so ago, but always fun to see someone inside the tent at The Heights basically admitting an 18 year attempt to crack the big time failed so spectacularly.

I don't think Barr has any interest in relocating to Chestnut Hill so he can attempt to recreate their glory years under Coach York ... but if Saban was up to chasing a legend like Bear Bryant in Tuscaloosa, anything is possible.

This is the time to offer Coach Barr a lifetime contract (and no, I'm not his agent). There can't be any doubters left ... ???
 
Any road win is good.....that being said I really hope they never schedule another meaningless mid-week game.
 
I’m not even a little surprised Maine didn’t play well. Midweek after a long drive against a bad team isn’t a recipe for a good performance. At the end of the day a win is a win.

What on earth was Union thinking at the end? I get pulling the goalie early if you’re down two or three goals but only down by one think you should wait until you have possession in the other team’s zone.
 
Barr didnt look very happy getting off ice after the game.
Union did a good job shutting down the first line. Union coaches had the team well prepared, must have looked at alot tapes cause they had 82, 20, 27 figured out.
 
Union hockey rink is awesome, its a hockey rink, nothing fancy. Nice fans too, the fans around us were all great.
