I’ve been to many games in Portland , they are generally snooze fests, kind of like tonight so far. Flat city

I understand why they do it, but the Alfond is a totally different animal than Cross Arena. Players must notice the difference usually a more casual crowd in Portland

I remember one game against Harvard that was reasonably exciting but can’t think of any others.

The advertising all over the ice looks horrible. Not sure why anyone would think that is a good idea.

Three complaints:

1. Has whoever is directing this game ever seen a hockey game on TV before? Just random cuts to awful angles. They shot some of the last Maine power play from the far end of the ice.

2. I’m on board with the complaints about Mannix yelling. The issue is really the difference between his “quiet” voice and the yelling. You have to turn it up to hear him at his normal level but then when he gets yelly (which is too often) it feels like I’m being blown out of the room.

3. Relatedly, Tuell’s mic is turned up way too high tonight.

That was too close and not pretty.
Pulled out the win though.
32 played great.
Bentley is a decent team.

This team needs some time off. They earned it but them boys are tired.
Trudeau just keeps getting stronger down deep and keeping the puck moving against the boards, it’s going to pay off down the road.
Luckily Bradly didn’t end up concussed.
Can you get anymore advertising logos on that ice….?

I knew tonight wasn’t going to be easy but it was pretty shocking to see Bentley look like the better team. How do you let them get 31 SOG? Hopefully the last couple of games are just a minor bump in the road and nothing more.

Would have been a tough ride home in the fog if they hadn't won that game.

They definitely looked like a team that had played (and won) 4 games in 8 days. Good teams are resilient enough to grab wins when they don't have their A game and that's what Maine did with Union/Bentley.

They've earned a few weeks worth of rest so hopefully they enjoy that time and returned prepared like a team ready to play meaningful games into March/April.

3rd period wasn't pretty but good enough for a win. You play to win so.............

People are wondering how long Bradly will stay I'd be more worried about the free agent Josh.

I agree with Wayuphere, Trudeau is starting to look pretty good.

Don't think any of us could ask for more at this point. I had no predictions to start the season other than I thought it would take longer for the brothers to get used to the size and speed of D1 College Hockey, I was way wrong there. I laughed when the coaches thought Maine would be 9th or 10th? in HE though. Great start to the season, pretty good Christmas Present if you ask me : )

This season has been so much fun so far, hoping it can carry over to the second half and we find more magic.

People are really worried about the Nadeau’s leaving but honestly I think they’re having the time of their lives. Seems like their family is at every game and they’re lighting up college hockey. I’d imagine they’re rockstars on campus. It’s hard to believe they’ll be gone after 1 year all things considered. I think we see them next year and then they move on to the pros. Either way, I’m going to cherish every second they wear a Maine sweater. Good ole days are back.

Re: Nadeau bros leaving. I have been watching more of late on how they adapt on the defensive side of the ice. A lot more work needed there before the pros come calling…

If any of these guys plan to play in the pros someday, 4 games in 8 days is pretty much par for the course.

I agree Chuck I'm wondering if they just aren't used to it yet more of a conditioning thing or expending too much energy on certain games..let's face it even the Bruins coast sometimes haha

My biggest worry right now is how they are holding up physically. They’ve both taken a lot of big hits this year and over time those have to take a toll.

I think it’s hard for us to know what they are thinking. Obviously all of us would love to be in their shoes but it’s hard to know how Maine compares to life in NB or BC for them. One thing we have to worry about now that we didn’t have to in the past is them transferring. I don’t think they would leave for NIL but could see them leaving if they think they would be happier elsewhere.

Some of you guys are such a bunch of Debbie Downers.....christ it's sickening. You're never happy!

I hope that Maine keeps winning so USCHO is forced to cover them more....it has sucked so far! Couldn't even include them in the recap of last night's games involving ranked teams. Pfft.

This is true have noticed the same. Also Bradley needs more strength and size yet, he is fairly easy to knock off the puck, when they hem him in anyway, and is out muscled on the boards. Id say he could be three years in total before the next step.
Imo at this point Josh is the better all around player of the two. He is shifty like Breen. Id say Josh could be here all four years or at least three due to his size. Can only imagine how awesome he would be in three or four years playing college hockey.

I dont know why they would transfer, I have no worries about that as long as coach stays on.
