It completely slipped by mind because of the Bentley game, but the Women's team also had an impressive outing in Portland on Saturday. They doubled up Dartmouth 6-3 wearing the ugliest Maine hockey jerseys I've ever seen. They are currently last team left off the USCHO poll.

If you want to see these jerseys...

So all it takes to get a jersey created is a donation huh? Makes me wish I has some "eff you" money to bring this concept I created to life.

Would make for a great 3rd hockey sweater(jersey to some)...as long as they use it only once or twice @home by the women and men per season...a word of caution, careful your creation is not copied....I years ago came up with a model sweater by a since departed staff...which in turn they tried to use it as theirs...but to your hockey sweater =☆☆☆☆☆

I've done some design work with their marketing dept and actually did pitch this one to them a while back, but no new jerseys on the radar for now from what I've heard.

We have almost perfect jerseys as is (not crazy about the numbers and collar this season), but I generally do like it when they throw in an alternate once every few seasons. The only problem I've had with alternates is that they wear them for half the home games to make it worth it.

Yeah the letters/numbers on the jerseys this year are not good. I wonder why they switched them up...

Thanks! I just want to see that light blue make its way back into circulation. Even if it was a rehash of the mid-2000s third jerseys I'd be alright with that.

You got the light blue right....so many times it has been mis-represented on UM clothing as a teal light blue....or a "bright" light blue that just doesn't seem right. That "dusty" light blue that's easy on the eyes is perfect.

Another big gift for athletic facilities.....

https://goblackbears.com/news/2023/1...ance-gift.aspx

Directed toward soccer and track specifically but this helps everyone as it keeps fundraising goals moving along for entire facilities plan. This $7 million added to Alfond Foundation $90 million + Morse family $10 million = $107 million.

Just hope hockey doesnt get delayed and this leap frogs it.
New balance has become a big donor, the rec center, field house renovations now this.
Too bad their not in the hockey business someway.

Everything is being done in logical order for construction and efficiency purposes.

Alfond Arena renovations are to include a new entry addition on the Southeast corner. Interior upgrades will be to the concourse, restrooms, club seating and team storage areas.Improvements to the rink area will be lighting and audio.

The Shaw Walsh Center renovations include an addition to the East side of the facility with a complete renovation of all existing space within the current building. All new locker rooms for men's and women's teams, coaches offices, team lounges, film rooms, sports medicine & equipment rooms are included in the project.

The lead design firm is WBRC and Construction Manager is PC Construction.

Anticipated start of construction is late spring 2024 and phased completion through the summer of 2025.

Yeah I would expect so.
Do we know if any contract for the work on the player facilities has been awarded? Apparently the design work may be done and I heard somewhere that perhaps the bidding process had begun a short while ago
Until theres a shovel in the ground timelines are tentative.

Best for everyone to move on....good luck to him in his pro career.

Yes indeed...now there's no guessing/wondering or hoping...time to focus on what's next, out of conference games...then off to the grind of Hockey East play....should be exciting for team/coaches/fans.

Not surprised but disappointed. The NC$$ is worried about him making a few rubles over there while NIL money is in the millions for some athletes. Oh well.

Do we know if Duda actually got paid for the KHL games he played? Had heard he was on loan from his MHL team, but hadn't heard if he was officially getting $$ for playing.

If he didn't, I definitely see why Maine would appeal the ruling multiple times.
