This is so critical to the future. Had heard rumblings it was starting in the spring, hope they start with player side of things first.
Im sure its been pointed out before on here but just go on youtube and see what umass has done with their renovations. Theres a good tour of it given by Carvel and company.

As the Colgate Raiders hibernate until we visit the Black Bears at Orono, Maine, on January 5-6, this is where we stand tonight...

6-8-2 overall (with 18 to play).

3-4-1 in ECAC Hockey (with 14 to play).

3-4-1 out-of-conference (with 4 to play).

1-6-2 at home (with 8 to play).

5-2-0 on the road (with 10 to play).

1-2-1 against 2023 NCAA Tournament teams (with 2 to play).

Thanks for the info...but way too much time for your team to be not playing...Maine plays 5 more...today v. UConn...then Wed.v. Union....@Portland Sat. v. Bentley....short time off, Holiday Tourney @ Dartmouth...then your Red Raiders come to town.
 
9twenty, I agree with you with regard to our schedule this year. Having said that, we’ve had some injuries the past few weeks that really do need time to rest and heal. I personally will go to the inaugural Adirondack Winter Invitational tournament in Lake Placid, N.Y., between the holidays to see Clarkson, Cornell (whom I just saw this weekend), Massachusetts and Arizona State. Then I will be coming up to Orono. I am hoping for a Winter Wonderland. The last time I came up, it was for Omaha at Orono and Portland. Good memories.
 
Tough game in a few hours. UConn will be tough. Can't wait to step into Alfond, been awhile since my last game there last season. Hoping the new scoreboard is worth the money. I already know the sound system will suck : ) . Careful in the snow if indeed it starts before we all get home safely. Go Blue

Gotta watch for the possible letdown, wally. Having said that, I'll be mighty annoyed with your Bears if they lose to Luce, whom I loathe more nowadays than I did Walshy back in the good ol' days. And while I eventually changed my tune on Walshy, there will be no reconciliation in the cards for Luce, I can assure you. So I'm probably rooting for UMaine at least as hard as most of you - if not harder than some of you - today.
 
When was last hat truck at alfond before friday? Fossier as a freshman in first game or maybe exhibition game it was?

I don't see this team letting down, they see the valuable 6 points in play this weekend....Barr will make sure if that ...
 
Poor decision not switching PP units in the last 20 seconds.

Can you get a major for goaltender interference? That has to be the dumbest penalty Maine has taken all year.
 
Play was along the boards for most of that period. I dont know who flew over the goalie but what the f was he thinking. I'm surprised one of the uconn players didnt get a misconduct penalty. ref spent some time in box talking to him.

When your ask your players to provide a tight screen, you're going to take the odd goalie interference. Goal 3 comes from that tight screen.
 
Looks like coach sat lesakowski for a while, stupid penalty and mishandled puck later, getting hot under the collar.
