Got it, see them now. Thank you.
Probably the ones in row G of section 19 are best left, if I had to pick. Those are decent tickets.

If you hockey diehards want to search out a hockey rarity while you're in the area ... head on over to the Big E fairgrounds on the other side of the river from downtown Springfield. Stranded in the middle of the property is Eastern States Coliseum, an old converted hockey arena now mostly used for other events, as the ice plant was removed long ago. But back in the day, it was home to Eddie Shore and his Springfield Indians (AHL), and also was the temporary home to the Whalers when the arena at The Mall in downtown Hartford had its roof collapse incident in the late '70's. The place hosted AHL, WHA and NHL games, including some of the final games of the legendary Gordie Howe's NHL career. WAY more interesting than museums, dinosaur tracks, Dr. Seuss, and even Yankee Candle, which BTW is a very popular choice for the wives, and might earn you gents some "brownie points" you're unlikely to get by taking the missus to the vastly-overrated Basketball HoF (trust me, no Cooperstown there). Enjoy!!

The Maine Department of Agriculture, Conservation and Forestry owns the State of Maine Building on the grounds. Every September there is a huge agricultural fair located there and the building is available for exhibitors. Originally known as the Eastern States Exposition and now called the Big E. Maine Potato Board sells tons of potatoes there each year. Probably nothing going on there now.
Breen looks like he's chomping at the bit to play hockey.
BCAnyone else playing a local bracket? I've been running one for decades, and as a general rule, the winner of the contest knows absolutely nothing about college hockey...
And that's fine. (A few years back, the winner avoided Miami because "they don't have any ice in Miami in April!!!") and she took the biggest haul home despite having no knowledge of Ohio even being a State. Had 53 players that year, hefty pot of cash there.
This year, the pool will be smaller, even as the ante has gone up. I was trying to figure out what Vegas thinks. Apparently, BC is the only prohibitive favorite in the first round, and Maine is right around even money v. Cornell.
So, I will pick my guys to advance (would have anyway), but the other brackets are a bit tricky, especially if you're looking to wager on an upset. Omaha and Western come to mind, but I'm not so sure about RIT being a reasonable flyer anymore.
Thoughts?

I believe all six New England states have their own buildings down at the far (west?) end of the fairgrounds. The main fair event ("The Big E") takes up most of the September events calendar on the property. But other than that, the old arena hosts a series of events that pretty much goes year-round, so I'd be surprised if their is no access to the arena even now. Here is a link of the overall events schedule for this year:

Here's a video dating back to 2016 from one of the local TV stations on the event of the arena's 100th anniversary ...
