I’m surprised there are any Maine allotment tickets left.

Same...I think that ticket shortages for this regional have been way overblown. Maine will have by far the most fans 3-4K....UMass and Cornell might have 1-2K each.....Denver will have a couple hundred.

So, an interesting piece of trivia, since the Holy Cross upset over the Gophers in 2006, every NCAA tournament has seen at least one #4 seed defeat a #1, except for 2022. Who will be the #1 to fall this year?

I'm playing two brackets this year, and I'm going to have RIT abscond with an upset over BU in one of them.

Just taking a flyer on that one, but RIT isn't bad, and they're probably very happy to be in the mix, while BU must feel wronged to be shipped out as a #2 overall seed... Could be that the Terriers sleep on that opponent until it's too late.

In my more realistic bracket, BU sails out of Sioux Falls, leaving MN in the rear-view... And that would definitely temper my disdain for BU, at least until the FF.

BU or Denver....or both.

DU getting ousted in the first round, I doubt.

I'm pulling for UMass, but they have trouble putting entire games together this year. I don't think that being in Springfield will matter much.

(The Mullins might, but not so much Springfield.)

Fuck Minnesota and their home ice. Nuff said on that. Ass wipes

Good list. Problems are casino is a definite no, wife wont go to the sports hall of fames, and museums are low on the list. A run over to the berkshires is a good idea though. Sports bar fits in at any town, but thats only good for a couple hours most.

Even if you don't visit the museums you must stop at the Dr Seuss sculpture park on the grounds which is free. It is in walking distance of the arena. Most all of the Seuss characters are there along with the story 'Oh the places you'll go'. I would also be remiss if I did not mention the National Shrine of Divine Mercy on Easter weekend in Stockbridge in the Berkshires. Take a stroll through the iconic Norman Rockwell Main Street Stockbridge while there and walk into the Red Lion Inn and sit in a rocker or play a game of chess/checkers. Someone mentioned Old Deerfield Village, there is also Old Sturbridge Village about a half hour east in Sturbridge too.

If you hockey diehards want to search out a hockey rarity while you're in the area ... head on over to the Big E fairgrounds on the other side of the river from downtown Springfield. Stranded in the middle of the property is Eastern States Coliseum, an old converted hockey arena now mostly used for other events, as the ice plant was removed long ago. But back in the day, it was home to Eddie Shore and his Springfield Indians (AHL), and also was the temporary home to the Whalers when the arena at The Mall in downtown Hartford had its roof collapse incident in the late '70's. The place hosted AHL, WHA and NHL games, including some of the final games of the legendary Gordie Howe's NHL career. WAY more interesting than museums, dinosaur tracks, Dr. Seuss, and even Yankee Candle, which BTW is a very popular choice for the wives, and might earn you gents some "brownie points" you're unlikely to get by taking the missus to the vastly-overrated Basketball HoF (trust me, no Cooperstown there). Enjoy!!

With the amount of tickets left it seems like this regional will not be filled, lots of open seats. Surprising to me with UMass so close by and with how Maine attended the hockey east tournament. I guess the extra 1.5 hours is too far and that it is on a Thursday.

With all the "to do" ideas in springfield should come away with a touch of culture and history! Whoda thunk, thought it was just hockey games.
Cornel fans wont be able to call us stupid anymore, did they? Maybe or not, not sure.
Chuck, yes the dinosaur tracks are no 1 on the list.
Thanks all for the ideas should be a good weekend, now just gotta win thursday.

There is a regional watch party at White Lion Brewing on Friday starting at 2 pm.

I’m betting the “Insane Mane Red Ale” is good. I love red ales.

Don’t see any left for me when looking on the Massmutual site. Where do you see it?

Forget the maine link it expired at noon. Just go to the rink website, plenty of seats.
This actually is annoying, there are better seats available today than when I bought sunday.
They really need to do a better job, no wonder why they dont sell out these regionals.
