Yup, that’s what it looked like. Lowell made 0 tape-to-tape passes on the forehand where the recipient could do something with the puck…very Gendron-esque

I just about cried for joy at Colby this season seeing the Nadeaus passing tape-to-tape while driving up ice and while on the PP

(I’ll never understand how it is so hard for some players to know whether they are passing to a righty or a lefty…even Abbott used to pass to Flynn’s wrong side, but Flynny would go into almost a split to get off a one-timer…what a beautiful shot he had)

Yes Flynn could let it fly and quickly...he would go on his streaks...(#10!!!).

Seeing as it is now in the news… others say he was in his car all weekend, even sleeping in it.
Sadly, sounds like some issues and if truly a players relative, sorry for the kid.

ORONO --
A Canadian man has been arrested in connection with an alleged burglary at the University at of Maine Alfond Arena.

Police arrested 56-year-old Steven Vanroboys from Ontario a little before 8:30 Sunday morning.

University of Maine police chief William Flagg says an officer saw a vehicle parked near the Alfond arena that had been reported to them the previous day for suspicious activity near the building.

The officer investigated and found an unsecured door to the arena.

Flagg says the officer found vanroboys inside. Allegedly in the act of stealing various items.

Vanroboys is charged with felony burglary.

I am very sad to read this story. His son Lucas played four years at Bentley where I got to know him a little before he took his “Covid year” this season at UMass, where the father got to watch his son dominate in FOW from the fourth line on Saturday night and get an assist on the only UMass goal on Friday night. I really, really hope that the father was just looking for a warm place to sleep before driving back to Thamesvulle, Ontario.

If the report is correct...then getting warm was not his intentions...I don't know...but going into a on Campus hockey rink seems like nothing good is going to happen...it is too bad,and this world is really inside out. SAD.

The police might not have known who he was but I think they would have been better off having a quiet word and telling him to hit the road. If I was Carvel I certainly would be looking for the Amherst police to return the favor when Maine is out there next winter.

What??? The guy was stealing stuff! You think Maine fans are going to attempt to steal things at the Mullins Center? If they do....I hope that they are arrested too. You are so weird sometimes.

Really..???wow...you lost me on your comments...I mean inside a empty on campus facility....oh well I am moving on from this....going back to thinking Hockey Saturday.

LOL WTF does this even mean? So if they caught him stealing stuff..they probably found evidence. And how would Carvel return the favor? Call in the Amherst police and plant some evidence on a Maine fan? LOL wowza

I can’t imagine they leave anything of much value unlocked and unattended. What the guy did was super weird but not sure the point charging him. The bit that would pizz me off if I was Carvel is having one of my players embarrassed. Perhaps others feel differently but if I was that kids coach I would not be happy at all about it.

The only person Carvel should be mad at is the guy stealing stuff, not the officer for arresting the guy on a felony burglary charge lmao.

It wasn't that cold and the Union would be open and I'd guess the field house depending what time it was

I just heard back from the ticket office and they are expecting a good showing from the students Saturday night. Most dorms will still be closed for break, but the students off campus or in dorms that remain open should turn out in force.

There will be a limited number of tickets available at 5pm at the Alfond ticket office. I'd almost expect the line for those tickets to start forming after the basketball game Friday night lol

We don't have it on display anymore, but the trophies we won for the Great Western Freeze-Out were valued at $80,000 (in 1993 dollars). There is plenty of memorabilia still on display in the arena. Not to mention the various electronics in the offices and private boxes. How many thousands of dollars worth of clothing is at Bear Necessities? And if he used a door downstairs he could have hit the locker room and weight room for a nice bounty. Hell, he could have just cleaned out the liquor cabinet in the old Dexter Lounge and made a tidy sum.

what do you think he was stealing?
my money’s on larry mahoney’s hemmoroid seat pad

And you think maybe he could have ”made a tidy sum” ripping off the stash in the Dexter lounge?

i googled Vanoboy’s bootleg/second hand liquor fencing operation in Ontario…found nothing, but maybe I’m spelling something wrong

Bottom line...he was where he was not suppose to be,and if he was stealing....geez...come on...time for common sense to enter the room....BOOK 'EM.

lol whoever keeps giving the THIEF the benefit of the doubt is an imbecile. The police embarrassed one of the UMA hockey players by.... catching his father trespassing on a college campus?? by doing there job and following up on reports of suspicion?? by catching someone who shouldn't be in the building that was obviously up to no good??

The logic or lacktherof of some people in this thread is something to be pitied.

Sportsman show this weekend, shuttle bus from Collins center for parking. This BS has been going on forever, lets make it impossible to park for hockey fans. At one point I remember they made it a policy to not have competing shit going on during hockey season but even then they still did the same shit
