I thought third was a little sloppy, tired legs maybe? But good win and good way to start the season.

Maybe Barr was right in sticking with Ostman to the end last in weekend's exhibition after all?

I'll say it again ... there is no better habit to develop in competitive team sports than the winning habit.

Maybe UNH will have competition for the "Champions of October" crown from the Downeast?? ;-)

One thing for sure in my travels this weekend, in resturants/motels....local coffee shops the Nadeau boys have created a buzz of optimism in Maine hockey....early yet but alot of fun. Along with the other players Maine hockey is a hot topic these days....big crowd last night to boot.

Heard they announced it at a sell out which is nice.

Should be interesting weekend in Conn against the Q. I'm thinking the Q will be right up there this year also. Goaltending will be key like usual. Q will be physical you can bet on that. We shall learn if the first line can create without much time and space.

Bye weekend for da bears. UNH has the Q this weekend, we get em in 2 weeks. How did we end up with a bye weekend this early in the season ? Should be playing the USNDT...just ask BU :-)

Very weird placement of a bye weekend ... gotta think an opponent dropped this summer, and couldn't be replaced?

I don't like it. Also Chuck does your coach keep his job after that win haha. Regardless good W for you guys.

Also I support Chuck and his comment on Connecticut being overrated. They just got swept by Holy Cross..

My take on the season and polls is you can't tell what happens that first month of October...and alot of times it's better to gauge your teams outlook 8-10 games into their season...UConn got a early wakeup call ...either they answer the bell or could be a up/down season for them....and it's the old adage THATS HOCKEY.

Bye weekend too early...

While it would be nice to build some momentum, it's not like it's football where you only get one bye. There's another weekend off around Thanksgiving, there's the long December break...

I love Victor but no way he deserved that. He didn’t even have a .900 save percentage for the weekend. Really bizarre decision.

I could see a case for Gabe Carriere but no other goalie played both games this past weekend so Ostman kind of got it by default.
