Nice meeting you Wally. Gawdam you are one big dude... I'm glad you're my new best buddy! ;) Thank you for giving my hand back after shaking it. Last time my hand disappeared like that was when I shook Marvin Hagler's hand. :)

OK... Maine beat our arse both games. BC had their chances to win both and couldn't capitalize. Your boys earned the wins.
I see a Frozen Four in Maines future and a Tim Whitehead contract extension. :D

You trash a young kid a lot considering he is leading HE, and has been 1,2 in the nation for most the year. Imagine if he was outside the top 10 how hard you would be on him? It's probably because you are much more gifted than most the players out there so they should be doing things your way. I'm glad he made you eat your words last night.

And I thought the fans were tough on the Leafs and the Habs.

i am not eating my words. He is good, I have always said that... and he is the best current player on the team...
is he still playing the point on the PP?

He was at Fenway when he assisted on the Diamond goal on the slap pass, and yes at times he was on Sunday as he flips with Mangene on that unit at times. On the PP you see them shift often from low to high and Abbott is comfortable in both places.

Hes on the point on the 5-3 for the 1t I have noticed. Im quite sure they moved him cause they dont have the same overload this year because they lost some left shots, so they moved him on the half wall for his vision imo.

I agree with this. Have voted for Flynn in the Hobey ballot a couple of times. He is not getting the respect he deserves. Look at his +/- and fewer PPG points and more even strength points (stands to reason). Plus he shifted from wing to center for his senior year. New position and wearing the C doing all this.

Maine up to 18th in the pairwise. If we could just get a split this weekend we'd be in pretty good shape.

Funny how we win and all the bozos suddenly disappear and stop lambasting our excellent heads coach.

Go Black Bears and all you wanna be fans can keep your dumb comments to your self.

Coach Whitehead deserves accolades and applause. He is developing our players on and off the ice.

Three cheers for our Black Bears!!!!

which drafted player do you see playing in the NHL within 3 years of graduation?
developing does not mean "gets them ready for the ECHL"...
if you liked the team and if you liked the program, you would want a coach who could do right by the kids who come here to be taught.

Just looking at numbers, if Flynn keeps scoring at his 1.52 pts/gm pace (or even increases it) and Maine makes a run towards the NCAA Tournament he'll have an outside shot at cracking the top-ten career scoring list. He currently has 141 points (tied for 20th). #10 is currently held by Joe Crespi with 168 points while #11 is Martin Kariya with 155 points.

Flynn is on an eight-game point streak (7-7-14).

Good sweep this weekend for Maine. That was a crazy two games!

I think this will get Timmay another year on the Maine campus, though. Moral Victory?

One weekend sweep doesn't make Tim safe but it helps, what matters is still going forward. Home playoffs and he is safe, other than that I think all bets are off. Who knows what is going on in the ADs office. Money is a huge concern, ticket sales are off but I'll guarantee donations are way off. Alot of the older donors don't like him
. I heard 2 bad stories this weekend, one I'm sure is true, the other if true, I can see why donations are off.

I think that was the quote.

My answer then and now is "because all of the little people and the little donors will feel part ownership in the team, they will take pride and they will cheer and THEY will be the reasons that the recruits are awed by the atmosphere at the Alfond.... And, Maine is small... if a flat landah disses one of us, word gets around about what kind of person he is.

I hope that Maine fans are vocal at the EggAnus this weekend. I hope that we can get on the refs so that they call a fair game for once. I am sick to death of the officials being scared to death of Jackie and not calling his team for anything.

and I hope Spencer scored at least 5 points this weekend and proves me 100% wrong. 5 points this weekend solidifies Hobey Finalist... but that is 5 points and fewer than 2 shorhanded goals against that are his fault.... so he cannot play Nyquist shifts on the PP all weekend long.

Uh-huh. This "bozo" is still here. We'll call this "Revenge of the TW Aplogists". You must be in your glory. ;)

I'm very happy for the entire Maine fan base........we deserved a weekend like this after the last few years!!! And I'm happy for the hockey program......both coaches and players. Unfortunately, this just magnifies TW's shortcomings as a coach.........if they can play like they did this past weekend........then why not all the time???:confused:
