In further news a clipper is heading in tonight so I am sure the cakeeaters are probably putting on the chains and firing up a few escort services to make sure they can make it all the way to St. Cloud. It's been reported Lucia may be thinking about cancelling due to his inconvenience.

SCSU campus reports there may be a Lucia pet sighting in the near future followed with some "children of the corn" likenesses, blond hair and buck teeth and maybe a Chewbacca or Sasquatch mixed in. Nothing to get excited about.

Even though I assume you know this, I'm sure he was speaking about the USCHO/USA Today polls and not the Pairwise. So shouldn't he get a half-point for being partly right? And why did FTLT get a point? He didn't refute anything.

Is this like Whose Line is It, where the points are made up and don't matter? Just trying to get a grasp of your system.

I don't know about anyone else, but I for one am looking forward to having some loaded Famous Dave's nachos this weekend. It may be the only thing that the NHC houses that is above average.

That's why its called the "concrete center", duh. How long have you lived in Minnesota? I am kind of questioning if you have any native knowledge.

Sad part is your squad couldn't make #1 even in a meaningless poll when leading the division. That can't be a good sign. Even the pollsters are hedging their bets and waiting for the swoon.

Just listened to the podcast of Nanne on Barreiro yesterday. They talked about this series for about 30 seconds. Lou basically sang Motzko's praises and said it was going to be a tough weekend for the Gophers because St. Cloud is playing as well as anybody. It was a shorter version of his usual weekly segment, but they don't talk a whole lot about the Gophers other weeks either. I understand the Wild are the bigger deal in town, but I don't think 5-8 minutes of college hockey talk per week out of the 30-40 Nanne is on is too much.

#1 puts a target on your back, but we prefer the target is on your head because that is the most effective spot when shooting Gophers.

The food at the NHC is awful, but I think it is at most arenas. But since there are free buses from downtown to the NHC, a smart person would just eat downtown. If you are looking for good beer, I recommend the White Horse. It is a block or two down St. Germain but it is worth it IMO.

I was never a fan of their food but now the regular concession sells buffalo chicken nachos. I haven't had Famous Dave's but I don't know that I'll try it when I can get those.

False. Everyone should eat and drink at Rum Runners downtown. Just make sure to get your vaccinations and your permit to carry because everyone else there does.

Does Marcia play hockey? That would be cool to watch. Otherwise shouting Marcia, Marcia, Marcia isn't effective at killing Gophers. Besides, one would think that Marcia is so selfish and full of herself that it might do her good to share the limelight once in a great while. But probably not, cakeeaters are too busy stuffing their faces for that.
I would rather chant Chanhassen "sugar maple tree" or Eden Prairie to attract Gophers or Minnetonka "great water" for drowning gophers.

Some rinks will have one or two things that are decent. Magness has AMAZING burritos. They're like $8 but they're HUGE and worth it.

Bemidji had pretty decent concessions as well, no burritos though. Phase 2 of the renovations at National Hockey Center should include Burritos.
