UAA @ SCSU: Well Look What We Have Here....

Re: UAA @ SCSU: Well Look What We Have Here....

Seriously? Did you really say that? Do you really think UAA is going to make it past the playoffs?

First off, he's playing Saturday. That's a Travashamockery. Secondly, the suspension needs to be treated as if UAA is gonna win the Final Five and the Frozen Four. You always assume teams will be around a while, you don't hand out a shorter suspension bc the team probably won't be around long anyway.

Re: UAA @ SCSU: Well Look What We Have Here....

Ben has not looked good last few weeks, if it is because of an injury, why not sit him this weekend, say minus Sunday if necessary to get him ready for the FF? Pretty sure we can still win the series in two without him, especially the way he has been a non factor last few games.

If he can still play, he should play.
He's going to have to fight through injuries as a pro, he may as well start learning to do it now.
Motzko also says the PP units are going to change so I doubt he'd want to sit Ben now if they are going to be working on getting some new units to gel.

If it's a muscle injury that he can fight through fine, if it has to do with his concussion from earlier in the year no way.

With the change in PP units, will they...you know...move around instead of staying stationary playing catch?

The games against Wisconsin it was ridiculous how little they moved. If there is a clear path towards the net, why not skate into it and force the defense to move around? Our power play is embarassing.

And with the skill we have with Drew, Ben (when healthy) Jensen, Dowd Etc... It's kinda puzzling.

Motzko had mentioned them playing nervous for the last month, I'd bet that plays into it.
Maybe shaking up the units a bit will help them re-focus.
Hell, Brodz has 19 goals, his 1st PP goal was last Friday.

That would be the first "adjustment"--Brodzinski on the first PP unit. Aside from putting Taylor Johnson at the point (probably ain't gonna happen), I'm with FTLT--if it works, great. Just a matter of time . . .
