Dumoulin ios from Biddeford, which is part of the area that real Mainers call "Massachusetts North"
No, its known as South Lewiston. Biddefords all frogs and hockey

It's time for some tough practices for these guys...always close but can't finish. What gives?

It's still early in the season. Based on what I heard tonight, Maine is just as good if not better than UNH. Maine is "snake bit" right now in the scoring department and could definitely use some more scorers (sniper). As the season progresses the freshman line will get better and should contribute some scoring. Goal tending should improve also. Maine does not have a lot of talent, but the team works hard and eventually that work ethic should pay off.

Wow! You must be hitting the bath salts too hard or you are completely delusional if you believe that crock of chit you just posted.

It wasn't finishing tonight, it was starting the second period. Really poor from O'Neil on the first one and Oulette on the second. I didn't see the goal in the first period, it was right before I walked in. Maine played great tonight though. I think I would like to see Timmy mix up the lines and distribute the scoring more evenly. I don't think this was as bad of a weekend as people will make it out to be. Even last night for as dominating as BC looked at times it didn't really show up in the statistics. They only outshot Maine by like six shots and only outscored Maine 2-1 5X5. The freshmen line looked good again tonight and hopefully we start to see some end product from them. I'd prefer Cerratani over Anderrson to.

He just reiterated what Larry Mahoney said on the radio...

This team has taken on the personality of its coach.......nice guys that don't show much passion or enthusiasm for the game of hockey. Occasional bursts of hard work give us hope. We have talent, but the game needs to be played for 60 full minutes, not 20 like last night. Maine is becoming a bunny on the schedule for our opponents, especially on the road. If you think about it the ray of hope for our season was last weekends sweep of PC. That should be expected, we should dominate them. Not hard fought, ot and hang on till the end wins. Our only other win was against another cellar dweller, NU at home. I fear that the occasional flashes of playing to our potential will mask the need for a major overhaul if Maine is to ever seriously be considered a player on the national college scene again. I'd like to see another national championship in my lifetime.

Yeah, everyone is just rolling over Providence right now. Its absolutely ridiculous Maine didn't beat them by at least five goals each game:rolleyes:

Dead on. Whitehead has taken the drive and passion right out of every one of these kids. They all come to Maine expecting to play for championships; to play hard, physical hockey with grit and to be feared by the other team....the way guys played under Shawn Walsh. Now: No hitting allowed; go for the pretty pass instead of the greasy goal; if your a D-man, wave your stick at the puck instead of taking the body. If your a goalie, kiss your career goodbye. Poor recruiting + no goalie coach = end of career.

And put this in your signature: "Maine will not win a game at Conte or Whittemore for at least 5 more years." Even if he gets bought out at the end of this year (which is looking more likely now), the next guy will need 4 years before his recruits start paying off. Welcome to Lake State
