I wish I knew Giancarlo Esposito's filmography so I could make different jokes than my usual Buggin' Out cracks, but part of me wanted Gus to shout something about putting a brother on the wall when he was shouting out at whomever was left.

Jim Parsons? Really?

Absolutely awful. I'm not going to say it's a huge travesty that Steve Carell didn't win, because The Office was unwatchable most of last season, and Michael Scott's goodbye was a not-even-thinly-veiled goodbye to Carell personally, but Michael Scott was one of the best comedic characters in television, at least in recent history, and Carell should have won something for it. It's even worse that he loses to one of the worst characters on television. Some guy is an ******* to his three dickless friends just for the sake of being an ******* and that's supposed to be comedy? There is not a more one-dimensional character in all of television.

I really like Melissa McCarthy but did Fatties Go Boom really need to become Emmy Award-Winning Fatties Go Boom?

Did any of these so-called comedies feature a conversation about the implication of being on a boat at sea, or a guy starting chemo mid-Rampage? Because if not, they were not the best comedies this year.

The only cool part of the show was Mad Men winning and January Jones not being there. That's the dream.

EDIT: It's funny to see The Daily Show coast by on reputation and Jon Stewart practically begging the Academy to give the award to the much more deserving Colbert Report, especially when it comes to writing. Colbert is miles and miles ahead of the pack when it comes to that.

You guys really don't like his character huh? I think its brilliant. Maybe he doesn't deserve back to back emmy's but he plays it so straight I think its brilliant. Obviously he can tend to be an ******* but his character doesn't even understand he's being an *******. Maybe its just my experiences with completely strange geeks at MTU but I think Sheldon Cooper is a character worthy of recognition.

Kyle Mother****ing Chandler. For the win. Love him. I got a little weepy, I won't lie. And winning for Best Writing. I'm still amazed.

More to process. Will post stories and photos later. I did meet Steve Carrell and talked to him. And his wife. And Walton Goggins and Timothy Olyphant (swoon) from Justified. Fun night!!!!

I got bored with the Emmy's after about 15 minutes. There were shows nominated that I have never heard of much less watched. I guess Modern Family did well, and I like that one, I also like Big Bang, and the guy that won, but I don't know if he is actually the best. With that said I don't agree that the guy from the Office should win, I watched the Office a couple times, wasn't funny at all. Seriously didn't laugh a single time. As far as I'm concerned it doesn't deserve a single award. Actually none of the people nominated for that one were impressive.

DO I think The Office is funny? No, nut it has its moments. SHould Steve Carrel of won an Emmy for playing Michael? Yes.

Would love to see more of the northern wall and the environs beyond, but I assume that's coming. The first episode teaser set there was maybe the best part of the series so far. And Peter Dinklage deserves an Emmy for this.

I'd pat myself on the back for this, but it was just so frickin' obvious it would happen. He was brilliant in this role.

So does Jon Hamm finally win next year? Probably not if Cranston is back in the running.

Anyone here follow both Mad Men and Breaking Bad that have an opinion on whether MM should be winnng more acting awards or if BB deserves to take the Best Drama award for a change?

I don't think he'll be eligible next year since Mad Men got delayed so long by Matthew Weiner's contract negotiations.

(Caveat: Each show submits one episode for their nominee, whereas I think of the seasons more generally, and that maybe changes things)

I think Mad Men gets hurt by being such an ensemble cast. I don't think Christina Hendricks did enough to earn best supporting, and Elizabeth Moss didn't do enough to merit much consideration for best actress. I think Elizabeth Moss could have easily won best supporting actress. John Slattery probably could have won for supporting, but I guess that little guy was great on Game of Thrones. I would have liked Slattery to get a nominee for directing "The Rejected" which might be my favorite Mad Men episode. And then Jon Hamm, I think is excellent, but I've never seen FNL so I can't really say there.

Breaking Bad has to be the heavy favorite for best drama next year with Mad Men out of the picture, unless Chuck Lorre develops a serious drama about farts or something.

Yeah he really was. I mentioned in TRP that I thought Walton Goggins deserved serious consideration too; his character arc on the last season of Justified was great.

I like the character, but I saw him on Letterman once and he so similar imho that playing him isn't even a stretch.

Yes! It's Buttercup!!!!?!?!

"Your true love lives. And you marry another. True Love saved her in the Fire Swamp, and she treated it like garbage. And that's what she is, the Queen of Refuse. So bow down to her if you want, bow to her. Bow to the Queen of Slime, the Queen of Filth, the Queen of Putrescence. Boo. Boo. Rubbish. Filth. Slime. Muck. Boo. Boo. Boo."

Very very underwhelming season of Eureka that just wrapped up. Decent cliffhanger at the end, but still, meh.

I can't wait for the final 2 episodes for this season of Doctor Who. Amy and Rory are gone (for the moment... I think) as to set up what we saw in the season opener where the Doctor gets shot and killed. I know there will be a Season 7, but how will they get out of this one. (In the words of River Song... SPOILERS!)

Re: TV Shows 6: Abed and Troy in the Morning! Havvveeee you met Ted's Wife yet?

I never was really a fan of 2 and a Half Men, but occasionally when there was nothing else on I'd watch it. When I saw it was on last night I decided to give it a watch, just to see how they managed to transition to Ashton Kutcher. I thought that Kutcher was much funnier than Sheen was in the limited episodes that I saw him in. I could see how the bit with Kutcher could get old fairly quick if they don't keep it changing some, but at the beginning I thought it was funny.

After that was some new show that I hadn't heard of before, 2 Broke Girls, which I decided to watch because I was planning on watching Hawaii 5-0 after it, and there wasn't anything else for that half an hour (football and I aren't getting along lately). The show was moderately funny, probably funny enough that I'd watch again if I saw it on, not funny enough to add to the DVR and make it a must-see. I was surprised how crude the jokes were, lots of jizz jokes for a show in its pilot, on network TV. I don't have a problem with crude humor, so I thought it was funny.
