Re: TV 5: Cliffhangers and Intros!

Anyone watch SNL last night? It was great. The best they've had in a long, long time. Kristen Wiig was toned down, less Sudekis, more Hader, Samberg, and Kenan Thompson. Paul Rudd was a great host, and Paul McCartney is well, a legend.

I think the last time SNL was funny was when I was at Big Flats Elementary.

"You get a lap dance, you get a lap dance, you are going to give me a lap dance...EVERYBODY GETS A LAP DANCE!!!"

Barney Stinson rocks! :)

"We had a lot of fun tonight, but on a more serious note this is the time of year when we remember the importance of giving and there is no greater gift, than the gift of booty...so this holiday season, why not bang someone in need? I am Barney Stinson, than that is one to grow on!"

:D

GOGO Dexter!

And the finale was...well it was good, but not great. No huge twist, no huge bombshell (except MAYBE that quote by Deb at the end...what does anyone else think?). But, Dex season finales are usually like this, they wrap up the season nice and neat. Leaves room open for next year to go where ever they want, but I hope they explore Deb's quote...

Really good SNL, I thought. The fake cat food commercial was cute, "What's That Name" was incredible (especially when they brought Norman the doorman back), the Stumblin' short was cute, Julian Assange's threats were amusing although they sort of wrote themselves, Roger Brush always makes me laugh. The highlight was Stefon though, especially with Bill Hader's dead-on Miss Piggy "HIIII-YA!" in the middle of it. I'm tired of the Vogelchecks though.

It's kind of interesting how incredibly strong the drama category is and how incredibly weak the comedy category is.

Its a nominee list like that that reminds me why most people think the Golden Globe awards are a complete joke.

I'm always surprised at how little respect Psych and How I Met Your Mother get with these type of awards.

You do realize you're veering into my territory here, don't you? :)

Re: TV 5: Cliffhangers and Intros!

The worst part is, 30 rock is going to win and that show might be the single most overrated show since friends.

Re: TV 5: Cliffhangers and Intros!

It is ironic and meta...oh and Tina Fey is supposedly funny...

No I do not agree I think the show is stupid.

Best actor, TV series, drama - ...Bryan Cranston...

I think this is a good selection. Just finished watching Season 2 of Breaking Bad the other night.

However, I'm ****ed that neither Season 3 nor Season 4 is available on DVD yet. Don't feel like shelling out the money for the Season 3 iTunes episodes either. Been getting caught up on Netflix...wish they were there.

Thought I heard something the other day about AMC running a marathon of all the episodes todate. Not sure the date this is happening, but pretty certain I heard this correctly.
