Re: TV 5: Cliffhangers and Intros!

GOGO Dexter!

And the finale was...well it was good, but not great. No huge twist, no huge bombshell (except MAYBE that quote by Deb at the end...what does anyone else think?). But, Dex season finales are usually like this, they wrap up the season nice and neat. Leaves room open for next year to go where ever they want, but I hope they explore Deb's quote...
Just watched it and I had similar feelings. Just, I'm not sure what quote by Deb you're referring to. I hope it's coming back for Season 6, but I also hope they come up with some new ideas.

Season 6 was confirmed.

Deb's quote at the party was something like, "You must be glad it's all over." It was odd, like she knew what was going on. She gave him a look too.

So, for you Dexter fans, what affect do you think Michael C. Hall's affair with Julia Stiles, ending his marriage to Jennifer Carpenter, will have on the show next season? Think Deb will leave the show somehow?

Re: TV 5: Cliffhangers and Intros!

I think this is a good selection. Just finished watching Season 2 of Breaking Bad the other night.

However, I'm ****ed that neither Season 3 nor Season 4 is available on DVD yet. Don't feel like shelling out the money for the Season 3 iTunes episodes either. Been getting caught up on Netflix...wish they were there.

Not shocked about Cranston. He's won the Emmy for every season he's done Breaking Bad and it's well freakin' earned.

I'm actually more shocked that Breaking Bad didn't get a best series nod. But, then again, I haven't seen much of any of the other nominees besides the Walking Dead.

Even then, for as awesome as the Walking Dead is, Breaking Bad was definitely better.

Re: TV 5: Cliffhangers and Intros!

Thought I heard something the other day about AMC running a marathon of all the episodes todate. Not sure the date this is happening, but pretty certain I heard this correctly.

Last week, late night on one of the weeknights, they showed the first two eps back to back. If there's a marathon, though, I'd look at a Sat/Sun afternoon or something.

I've been rewatching season 3 here and there to keep up with all the little details.

Love this series. I'd suspect the DVD release would be in springtime, to promo the late start of Season 4.

You heard correctly and I did check their website. Only problem is that this "marathon" consists of only 2 episodes a week, starting at 12:30am every Wednesday night/Thursday morning. Problem with that is by the time they get to season three it'll be February.

Re: TV 5: Cliffhangers and Intros!

So, I watched the first two episodes of Spartacus: Blood and Sand courtesy of Netflix last night.

Crude language? Check
Excessive gore? Check
Intense action? Check
Cheesy acting (at times)? Check
Cheesy effects (at times)? Check
Soft-core porn-like sex scenes? Check

I think I may have a new favorite series! :D

Re: TV 5: Cliffhangers and Intros!

IIRC, the first 25 minutes featued the Miley Cyrus sketch, so you sir are a liar.

The Miley Cyrus Show is one of the best new recurring sketches they've come up with in a while. Vanessa Bayer is spot on in her impersonation. And given the leaked tape of her this week, that sketch had to happen. Overall, with the exception of that gift wrapping sketch, this was probably my favorite episode of the year. They got Cookie Monster for the monologue!! Kudos to Lorne Michaels or whoever it was that paid attention to the Facebook campaign. It was very sweet. And the Kardashians Christmas message was hysterical.

Re: TV 5: Cliffhangers and Intros!

Sam Axe is my HERO :D

That finale rocked :)

Excellent finale. Very surprising ending I loved how they brought back some of the foes from the past, although no appearance by Simon. Looking forward to next season and wondering how they are going to work the plot now.

Agree on all counts. Cookie Monster was awesome. Vanessa Bayer is a new fave.
