TV 5: Cliffhangers and Intros!

Re: TV 5: Cliffhangers and Intros!

Just watched the latest Deadliest Warrior and I have to ask, how the heck did the Musketeer win over the Ming Warrior? This is the French we are talking about. :D

IALTO.

The show obviously relies purely on weaponry/armor, and not so much on strategy, motivation, etc. I liked that arrow thing they had, since I had recently seen the Mythbusters with the 500-arrow version of that weapon (which worked, and was awesome).

I mentioned this to a couple friends, but I'd love to see some totally, obviously lopsided matchup. Maybe today's Green Beret vs an Egyptian soldier in BC time or something. Just to see the carnage.

Re: TV 5: Cliffhangers and Intros!

I'm waiting for the Scottish highland warriors to be featured. I've got Scottish roots and I'd love to see them.

Re: TV 5: Cliffhangers and Intros!

Finally got around to starting Modern Family. It's been fantastic so far.

I couldn't stop laughing with Cam in the clown outfit getting out and ready to beat the redneck's arse.

Re: TV 5: Cliffhangers and Intros!

Hey NBC, thanks for randomly moving Persons Unknown around, don't wanna keep the one show people are watching at the same time every week or anything. I hope this let's you spend more time coming up with additional racist crap like Outsourced (haha, they speak and dress differently than other people!).

I think they moved it because people aren't watching. At least they're showing the rest of it, at least I hope they are. I've already got the TiVo programmed for Saturday.

Re: TV 5: Cliffhangers and Intros!

Tomorrow the return of The Closer and the debut of Rizzoli & Isles, I don't read Tess Gerritsen and am not a particularly big fan of Sascha Alexander but I love Angie Harmon plus it is a cop show so I suspect I will like it.

The Closer was fantastic as usual. Rizzoli and Isles was good enough to keep me watching for a couple of more.

Want to give Covert Affairs a try. Haven't been watching any USA Series anymore since I gave up on In Plain Sight.

Ditto -- especially after the scene in which Harmon and Alexander were laying on the bed talking about the FBI agent. Harmon says "Why don't we just show him our t*ts and let him decide." :D

It's on my watch list tonight. Could be fun

That was a good line.

Re: TV 5: Cliffhangers and Intros!

That was a good line.

Why not both?

Absolutely correct on both counts! ;)

Apparently a lot of people agree:

More than 7 million viewers tuned into the debut of TNT’s Rizzoli & Isles Monday – the most-watched premiere ever for an ad-supported cable show, the network announced.

Talking about shows that dont need hot girls to get horny old dudes to watch... ;)

White Collar was really really good :)

Re: TV 5: Cliffhangers and Intros!

Stupid Spike, not showing a new Deadliest Warrior (there's only two left in the season). Probably didn't want to compete with the AS Game.

White Collar has the sublimely beautiful Matthew Bomer for us women to watch. That, plus it's an entertaining show.

Re: TV 5: Cliffhangers and Intros!

I have my doubts (not that'd I'd watch it anyway, but this seals it): Piper Perabo? You kidding me?

What's the problem with Piper? Seemed ok to me.

Show was good but not as good as Rizzoli and Isles on TNT. I liked it as well as I liked In Plain Sight which is really the only other USA series I've watched. I think the big problem with the show is they revealed too much the first night.

The Closer is still in a class by itself for these kind of shows on cable IMO.

Re: TV 5: Cliffhangers and Intros!

Thought White Collar was good. Not a huge fan of bringing up the whole question of whose side Peter is on in the last scene- again! But what can you do?

Covert Affairs was okay.
