Re: TV 5: Cliffhangers and Intros!

Yes. Yes it does. Season 2 gives hints to how nuts it gets, S3 goes off the charts.

As you can probably tell (IMO), this isn't a 10 year series in the making, which helps things.

oh no, here we go again... :D

This series kind of reminds me of the kardashev scale. Eventually, the show (civilization) becomes too complex and destroys itself.

A buddy of mine just finished S2. He's rather anxious to start S3. S3 spoiler in white, about something he said:

He said, and I quote, "I love it how Jesse is morally screwed up, but he's not a bad-arse. I mean, it's not like he goes and shoots people, or beats them up, or kills them." It was all I could do to not have a reaction to that.

Re: TV 5: Cliffhangers and Intros!

Yeah, how do you react to that? Because you know the asteroid that comes crashing down to earth at the end of S3. But then again, we still don't know what happens to end S3. All we know is that there is a gunshot.

I thought I'd give (Rookie Blue?) a shot, but since the preview for episode 2 already has the brunette hitting the sheets with the cliched undercover dude I decided to cut my losses. I'll wait for Southland to return.

I have liked Boston Med so far, although it sucks the cute Pina chick is moving to CA.

Re: TV 5: Cliffhangers and Intros!

I was talked into netflix last night and I started watching Rescue Me. Pretty good so far.

Re: TV 5: Cliffhangers and Intros!

Rescue Me gets nuttier and nuttier as the seasons go on...it is heartwrenching to watch some of it, ****ed right funny to watch other parts! The new season just started out with a bang :D

Oh and Tommy Gavin nails like every chick he wants to which is good for him :D

So it looks like Jay's head is on the chopping block. NBC really really screwed this one up!

This is extremely funny to me, yet extremely sad. NBC really screwed themselves over with the whole situation (funny), but one of America's media mainstays, The Tonight Show, may ultimately die (sad). If they think they'll just replace Leno, that will start up a sh** storm. I mean, who's around that'll take that gig?

Re: TV 5: Cliffhangers and Intros!

To be honest there isnt anyone that could take it over now and save it. The only one with even a shot is Letterman and I just dont see that happening.

NBC should have never put Conan on in the first place, and now they are proving that one bad decision can snowball. The amount of money they are losing on that deal is staggering.

Re: TV 5: Cliffhangers and Intros!

Just watched the Boston Pops Fireworks on CBS. What a clarster fark!

How in heck can they come into the show just as the William Tell Overture is ending???

Between too many commercial breaks and the fireworks to some boring recorded pop music, CBS has totally wrecked a 4th of July tradition.

Send it back to PBS or don't show it at all.

CBS came into the show when the WTO was over -that was a recording. It was over about 9:50pm. The actual concert started at 8:30. The Pops perform the WTO for the crowd, not the TV audience. And it used to be on A&E not PBS. And I do agree that with the hour-long national telecast, it has totally changed, and not for the better. Makes the whole night kinda choppy.

Re: TV 5: Cliffhangers and Intros!

Anyone watch Operation: Great White on National Geographic? It is very cool so far! They do some crazy stuff :)

Re: TV 5: Cliffhangers and Intros!

Watched the first two episodes of Memphis Beat. it's not that bad. I also started watching The Good Guys which also is pretty good.

Right you are - my mistake. Either way, A&E's broadcast ran the full length of the concert and fireworks, making it more enjoyable for the TV viewer.

Re: TV 5: Cliffhangers and Intros!

Big TV week this week. premiere of The Glades tonight, sounds intriguing will give it a try if you miss it tonight A&E is replaying it like 57 times this week. Tomorrow the return of The Closer and the debut of Rizzoli & Isles, I don't read Tess Gerritsen and am not a particularly big fan of Sascha Alexander but I love Angie Harmon plus it is a cop show so I suspect I will like it. Tuesday marks the return of White Collar and the debut of Covert Affairs, a spy show so I will once again give it a try. Wednesday the return of Psych.

Re: TV 5: Cliffhangers and Intros!

Just watched the latest Deadliest Warrior and I have to ask, how the heck did the Musketeer win over the Ming Warrior? This is the French we are talking about. :D
