TV 20 - Sorry no fancy title

Bought the first season of Outlander on Blu-ray, mainly cause it was on sale for $12 and I had $10 credit from Amazon. Haven't seen the last two seasons since I dropped Starz from my cable package.

Jeesh, I forgot how good this show was, especially the early seasons. Breathtaking visuals of Scotland, lovely soundtrack, incredible chemistry between the two leads. Not a 'chick' show by any means.

The last episode of The Boys completely destroyed the rich donors of the Right, the Federalist Society, and Project 2025. It's too bad everybody who watches already understands the GOP are Nazis, because they left no doubt.

I love that there were MAGAts as late as S3 who thought Homelander was the hero. Talk about on the nose.

I was looking forward to watching Tulsa King tonight. It’s a Paramount + show that CBS is showing. But President Biden spoke and now they’re just doing more talking head stuff.

Still this morning the Cable News Networks are in FULL breaking news mode. So dumb.

Isn't Paramount+ a streaming service? Like, you can pick anything you want to watch? We watched FBI: Most Wanted tonight on Paramount+.

Yes, but I don't have it, which is why I was looking forward to watching it on regular TV. CBS did finally air it at 9:00pm when the shooting coverage ended. The show was OK. Not as good as I had hoped. I think I'll give it one more episode.

Yeah, I figured out what you were really saying just before you wrote this response. D'uh! (The commercials for it never caught my fancy, so I never tried it.)

Never heard of it. What's it about? (And before someone says look it up on IMDB, sometimes I like to hear the answer from people who are watching something.)

It's about guys in the NFL. It follows them similarly to say Drive to Survive, but it's far more interesting.

Of course. I remember now. I must have gotten sun stroke being outside all day today. LOL Thanks. Yeah, I heard other people tell me I should check it out.

I watched the first two episodes of Charlie Hustle & the Matter of Pete Rose last night on HBO. I don't know if this four part documentary is/was intended to either help or hurt his case for reinstatement, but in my opinion it certainly doesn't help.

It has been a great watch so far, although admittedly I am a baseball fan and the 60's and 70's were my prime time as a baseball fan. Rose is, and appears to have always been, a POS. A tremendous ballplayer, but a POS.

Ty Cobb was also a POS. Interesting, they are the two top hit leaders, and the only two to go over 4,000.

Sunny with Rashida Jones. Per the web:

Living in Kyoto, Japan, a woman's life is turned upside down after her husband and son disappear in a mysterious plane crash. As consolation, she receives Sunny, a domestic robots made by her husband's electronics company.

I've watched 2 eps so far. I don't want to compare it to Severance because it would be somewhat unfair, but there are some similarities and I wonder if any of the creators have ties. Very enjoyable so far.

Penultimate episode of House of the Dragon season 2 was a lot of fun. I figured the sowing would be.

Have to pour one out for Willem, though.

Little bummed we all of the sudden decided to cut down to an 8 episode season.

I find this GOT the same as the other GOT series. Very few redeemable characters.

Oh my lord, the final episode of The Lazarus Project season 2 did not disappoint. I didn't particularly care for the resolution, no happy endings here, but the door was left open for that to change. Alas, Sky did not greenlight another season, so this was indeed the final episode.

But damn, the creator and writer of this, Joe Barton, is a great writer. Sure, there were a few plot holes and too easy resolutions, but didn't matter when the story and dialogue was this good. Clever, without being precocious about his cleverness. Just real and down to earth. Just the interactions between the future folks when meeting their past selves made this episode.

Future Rebrov is laying down cover fire while the rest of the future group make for the cars. Archie and Zhang see Ross and past Rebrov.

Ross: I think I should stay here. See if I can live past 2018 this time. Also, wanted to see what 2020 was like.

Zhang: It's chit

Archie: It's really chit.

Ross: Is it? Well that's disappointing.

Archie and Zhang drive away. Ross turns to past Rebrov

Ross: Best go give you a hand then.

God, I'm gonna miss this show. I'm a sucker for time travel stuff. And this was done really, really well. There better be a Blu-ray release of this.
