TV 19 - Simpsons Did It

That character was a Mary Sue. He was awful. And making him a Q was the stupidest thing in that show's entire run, which is a very high bar.

He wasn't a Q...he was something similar to The Traveller who could make warp fields with his mind and I believe they did that as a way to write him off the show. Originally he was just super smart...

Trying a buncha new things:
  • Silent Sea -- really enjoying it (though 1.4 sucked).
  • Archive 81 -- loved 1.1, the lead actor is quietly excellent
  • Peacemaker -- really enjoyed 1.1; Cena has great charisma and I'm glad to see we're over the early 00's fascism of Batman and the MCU
  • Station 11 -- I don't care for the characters but the plotline and cinematography are enough so far

Ozark S1. Through 8 episodes so far. You really have to suspend disbelief more than I would prefer for a show within this genre and I find myself fast-forwarding quite a bit the parts that are good enough have kept me going.

Article 81 is in my queue.

I tried Station 11 and just can't do it.

Keep with Ozark. It's really good. Psyched for season 4 to start tomorrow.

My opinion is grin and bear it, it does start to pay off. Yes, I know, the characters are out of a 90s art project but the whole idea of The Wheel is wonderful. It can go either way: it could turn into just another potboiler with a different setting like Foundation, or it could turn into something original and unpredictable like The Boys. It's trying, unlike 90% of teevee.

It's being released in 2 parts.
Part 1, which is being released on January 21, 2022, will consist of seven episodes. Part 2 of Season 4 will also contain seven episodes. There is no release date scheduled for Part 2 at the moment but it's expected to arrive later in 2022.

I dunno Season 3 was almost unwatchable by the end. (and the end was just dumb) I will watch Season 4 out of need for completion but this is getting into Mr. Robot "we have nowhere to really go so we will just make things more convoluted and nuts and figure that will make it look cool and smart" territory. Outside of Ruthie I am not sure any of the characters even intrigue me anymore.

Much like most shows on Netflix Season 1 is great, season 2 is a slight fall off, then it is a decline to nowhere. Its Stranger things Syndrome ;^)

We're halfway through S2 of ST:Discovery. Absolutely love it. It's a little more pew-pew than most Star Treks but not obnoxiously so. It's a tumultuous period in the ST timeline so it makes sense.

I really like how they've been opening the episodes with a monologue from one of the characters (not about the mission which is what you'd see in TNG a lot, but rather, it's usually about their personal experiences that they'd share in a journal or conversation with a close friend).

Like Handy said, it's... very weird at times. Even for Star Trek. But it's good. I like that the characters act like people instead of stiff, sometimes boring characters. There's a lot of snark (Reno <3 ) and what would be very human reactions to a lot of events. Much more realistic.

btw I tried Enterprise and nope. I think I might have enjoyed it when it was released but can't do it now. Too bad because I was really hoping I'd like it enough to watch all the series in chronological order but meh. I will try TNG next. TOS is on Neflix btw.

TNG is okay. Nothing has come close to TOS.

Just you wait...it gets even weirder!!
