TV 19 - Simpsons Did It

Whoa. At first I thought it looked like it had a Batman beyond type noir animation. Little sad it doesn't but looks intriguing.

The Audacity Awards on SNL was great. And in general the host was good, especially when paired with Keenan.

Also: my little rat face looked good enough to eat and was fabulous on mute.

Anyone watch the premiere of Yellowjackets? I put it on the DVR. It looks interesting. I've been watching the Dexter reboot. I quit the original series after Season 5 last time. Let's see how long I last this time.

Jesus, Succession 3.05

Dr. Mrs. is watching some reimagining of Lord of the Flies / Alive! with an obnoxious girls high school soccer team as the cannibals. It's painfully trite and terrible and I want every one of them to die of food poisoning.

Jesus fuck, why does my otherwise intelligent wife watch tv shows about teens? Teens are the most boring people on earth with their clothes on.

Is that Yellowjackets? I haven't started watching it yet.

I find that the more thinking I do on the job, the more I watch the insipidly stupid things after work. I’ve yet to watch things like the Bachelor, but I will watch things like superhero shows.

Futurama, Rick and Morty, and (to a very lesser extent) Disenchanted are all for when I’m not feeling burned out.

Succession this week was great. The line from Tom about being hoisted like the Stanley cup had me rolling

matthew mcfayden is putting on a masterclass performance, maybe stronger than Jeremy strongs last year

Yeah, that episode was great. The Jordan Peterson Nazi Intellectual character is fantastic.

This season has been a huge improvement on the last one. It's as good as S1.

And yes, Tom is stealing this season.

-Gomorrah
-Ragdoll
-Tacoma FC
-Mayor of Kingstown

Still unsure on the latter 3 but I recommend all be checked out.

Is Mayor of Kingstown only streaming on Paramount+? I thought I read that somewhere and I don't think I have access to it, but I thought it looked interesting.

I am not up with the keeeds. I have never heard of any of these.

Gomorrah - Italian mob drama. 5 seasons in so far available on Sky but I think it's more readily available in the US now
Ragdoll - UK drama (brand new) 2 eps so far. Cop tries to redeem himself chasing a killer that left a "ragdoll" of mixed human parts from 5 different victims
Tacoma FC - comedy with some of the guys from Super Troopers. 3 seasons I think so far
Mayor of Kingstown - just released series starring Jeremy Remmer

SJ - I am not sure on the availability of Mayor in the U.S. I just know I have it here.

Gomorrah was really good, but I could only watch the first two seasons on Netflix, and even those I think eventually disappeared. I've heard you can watch season 3 on HBO Max but I haven't looked it up.

I get the regular Paramount channel on my cable and I saw some ads for Mayor of Kingstown, but I think they were advertising it as a "preview" episode on Paramount, but otherwise available exclusively on the streaming service, which I don't have and probably won't subscribe to. But I kind of liked Wind River by Sheridan, starring Jeremy Renner, so I probably would have watched that show if available.
