cc: Scooby Doo - Clarice S2 is likely not happening. CBS was in negotiations to turn it over to Paramount+ and for whatever reason those talks have broken down, and CBS has said they don't have room for it in their fall lineup now.

Too bad - I was a bit underwhelmed at the start but it turned quite solid. The lead actress has nailed the character of Starling, the story is gripping, there's enough creep factor to keep you on edge, and the supporting cast (minus Kal Penn) was great. Too bad. At least Hannibal made it 3 seasons before it got fucked over.

Figures. It was the best episode of the season so far last night. I guess we get one more and then it is over. And Evil is moving to the + which means I will not see it just like I was unable to see The Good Fight after The Good Wife was over. I just will not add yet another streaming service to my lineup. I have too many already.

Home Before Dark - I'm halfway through S1. This season goes 10 episodes and I really hope it finishes as strongly as it started. Too often series go too long and I feel as though right now this story should be wrapped by with 8 episodes or less, so I hope I'm proven wrong.

Of note the girl that plays the lead Hilde (Brooklynn Prince) is a tremendous actor and was only 9 or 10 when S1 was shot. Hopefully she doesn't face the pitfalls of so many child actors before her because if this series is any indication she's gotta a lot of career left if she wants it. Maybe even a curmudgeon like Kepler would give her props.
 
It is predictable yet sad how bad the acting from the Hottie of the Week on various Star Trek shows was. You’d think better talent would apply for the roles when you consider how big the expected audience was and is.

You mean you watched Star Trek not for the socio-impactful messages brought out by Gene Roddenberry in his storytelling, but to check out the 'hotness' of the green chick Kirk was going to bop that week? You pig.

Yeah, I’m taking more about the various series from the 90s rather than they original series. I can’t stand Shatner.

AFA 90's Trek, you can't mean Minuet. She went on to work as a psychiatrist with Jack McCoy in the Manhattan DA's office. She's a solid actor.
 
There were a few good actresses over the years taking on that weekly spot, but the majority have just been…unimpressive. I’m watching Enterprise now, and the slave/spy for the Xindi had a slamming body (feeling my 90s school years language coming out here), but she shouldn’t have been cast in even the worst of community theater shows.

The vast majority of actresses will always be terrible because they're chosen for looks, not ability. For every Boobs on a Stick you see in a movie or as a sideline reporter there's a homely girl with 500x her talent who will never be permitted in front of a camera because most men are ambulatory garbage with the discernment of a 6th grader.
