TV 19 - Simpsons Did It

Hitler's Circle of Evil on Netflix, a 10-part docu-series. One of the better series I've seen in a long time from any source and easily near the top for Netflix which has not done great job in the genre imho. There was a lot to unpack with several stories and facts I'd not been aware of before. I did find it interesting there was no mention whatsoever of Eichmann whom I thought had a high enough ranking to earn mention. Either way it's well worth the time.

I’ve been having fun watching The Kominsky Method on Netflix. Season 3 just released, and while it’s just standard jokes, mostly, they are executed really well. I also love the occasional jabs at The Big Bang Theory, and then you see Chuck Lorre created the show.

IMDB asked what the best pilot for a series was.

I'd have to think about this. The first several I could think of:
Lost
Sopranos
Simpsons
Breaking Bad
The Shield
Damages
Westworld
Newsroom

Breaking Bad is my all-time favorite. The opening three minutes hooks you in like no other show I can remember.

I’ve seen others mention Arrested Development as an example of a show that was already fully established. Characters are fully fleshed, timing is down pat, and the only thing I recall being out of place is the sitcom-y ending where they’re playing the board game.

The Walking Dead had a great pilot as well. Frankly I stuck around with it longer than I should have because of the pilot.

Looks like Clarice is only going to last one season cause they delayed the airing of the last 3 until June which is out of sweeps.

Working on Mandalorian now (no spoilers please), and working through the SyFy series Van Helsing which is kind of "fun".

Modok is a cartoony biting Marvel Comedy on Hulu. It's ok. Think Superhero Family Guy.

Lower Decks pilot was okay. It's really young. If you're a 20-something geek it's probably a work of staggering genius.

I'm sure I'm missing some from years past:

Broadchurch
Westworld
Shameless
Homeland
Peaky Blinders
Modern Family
Lost
Mandalorian
Killing Eve
The Good Place
Cheers
Stranger Things
The Newsroom
The Haunting of Hill House
