I'm 3 sketches into the latest SNL ep and it's already the best of the season so far. Also Nate Bergatze is a national treasure.
I thought the skits were all pretty good but his opening monologue was not.
I also very much enjoyed his monologue. If you can find some of his stand-up not only is he hilarious, but oddly enough he's 100% clean.
CBS has finally announced the show for the slot after Colbert. It’ll be a reboot of @Midnight called After Midnight hosted by Taylor Tomlinson.
1. Happy to see Tomlinson get a hosting gig, she’s farking hilarious.
2. Glad to see @Midnight back, as long as Ron Funches has a weekly spot.
I think she’ll do well, she has plenty of videos of her doing crowd work that show her being capable of quick thinking.Do you think that format will hold her back at all, or just broaden the scope of her material? Her standup is largely based upon her being neurotic and a somewhat bad girlfriend because of it.
Sources tell THR that there had been tension between Apple and Stewart ahead of the show’s third season return over topics featured on The Problem. Those same sources note that Apple approached Stewart and informed the host that both sides needed to be “aligned” regarding topics on the show. Stewart, sources say, balked at the idea of being “hamstrung” by Apple, which threatened to cancel the series. Stewart, sources say, wanted to have full creative control of the series and, after Apple threatened to cancel the series, told the tech company that he was walking away from the show rather than have his hands tied.
The decision to “unrenew” The Problem came after Apple and Stewart shifted The Problem to a weekly release for its second season after the freshman batch of episodes launched every other week in fall 2021.
Stewart signed a multiple-year pact with Apple in 2020 that included the current affairs show that became The Problem and other development projects via his Busboy Productions banner.
Yeah I posted that when it broke a few weeks ago...Apple is not happy with his stances on AI and he told them to get bent.
Does he say AI is dangerous (probably) or fraudulent (certainly)?
I doubt very many female comedians are...
(although if it is not a video podcast at least he cant force them to watch him crank it)
As someone over 30, I don't feel like that SNL was for me.
