Sympathy strikes and work actions are usually the killers in these situations and they typically strengthen the other unions as well.
Also, TIL the President of SAG-AFTRA is Fran Drescher.
Duffers here. Writing does not stop when filming begins. While we’re excited to start production with our amazing cast and crew, it is not possible during this strike. We hope a fair deal is reached soon so we can all get back to work. Until then -- over and out. #wgastrong
I thought I saw an article that said Netflix sorta saw the writing on the wall and stockpiled a bunch of new material to trot out during the strike, while the other streamers had already emptied most their material early.Final season of Stranger Things on hold it would appear. I am sure Netflix can weather that storm with their plethora of top flight content...

They've got a nice catalog of foreign stuff. They'll be fine

A catalog that is niche and doesn't have a super strong following. Netflix is (pardon the pun) a House of Cards (and their financials are a fraud) and I think a prolonged strike is going to hurt them easily the most.
(this is where someone trots out their BS "viewership" numbers which can manipulated and with them almost certainly are)

Someplace Somewhere - S2 on HBO. Comedy/drama about a woman that returns to her smalltown in Kansas while going through a midlife crisis. It's very well done. Understated, dry, but there are some great characters and even better dialogue. Definitely not for everyone but I really enjoyed S1 and so far S2 has not disappointed.
I had forgotten that Della is played by Juliet Rylance.
