Bring Back Alice. Polish series on Max. Two high school girls who by all appearances don't know each other disappear from a rave on the same night. One girl - Alice - is found a year later but she has no memory of what happened. Yet. Some of her friends are likely involved and from there the mystery continues. Two episodes so far and it's very well done.

So I learned a very minor "spoiler" about the rest of the season of Succession. Just its cadence, nothing plot-related.

Spoiler:

Each episode in this season is one day.

What did folks think about Succession 4.04?

My spoiler comments:

This was one of the best episodes in the show's run, and S4 is becoming the best season. The character interactions were incredible. The Marcia-Willa exchange was one of the most severe the writers have authored.

Kendall has no instincts or abilities. He's just a mass of self-delusions. Even his self-loathing is delusional, as he fancies himself a Magnificent Failure. No, Kendall. You're just subpar. You're not an explosion, you're a fizzle.

The strap-on line was an iconic self-own that summarized him perfectly, from it not making sense to the pause waiting for him to realize it (which he does not) to the fact of even this being copied, having overheard it in the lobby.

Each member is a different failure. Tom is a bully, Greg is an incompetent, Connor is a fool, Shiv is a weakling, Roman is a coward, Kendall is an imbecile. (Put them all together you get a Dump Voltron.)

And my god, the way Stewie looked at him on the couch. The pure disdain, from his "oldest friend," who knows him the best. < Shiver >

My wife and I just started Succession. I think we’re five episodes into it. It’s the one where everyone is making a play for power or mourning their father’s situation. And Gary.

Mrs. Davis.

Pilot is so winky it feels like a birth defect, but I give them credit for trying to do something intelligent and surreal. Actively hunting cult cred rarely ends well (cough Mrs. Maisel), but maybe they'll deliver. There were some good moments and some painfully sophomore hipster.

The Night Agent. I gave it 1 episode but two major plot holes killed it for me. Too bad because while the premise is fairly cookie-cutter the cast looked promising. Nope - can't do it.

However Motel Valkirias about three down on their luck women that converge at motel and end up whacking a low-level crook thereby thrusting them into the crosshairs of a mob boss had an excellent start. Sorry I can't help anyone in the U.S. with which network to find it on but Ep 1 was great. Seek it out if you can.

I saw a preview for this and it looked like there was just so much going on. I was intrigued but at the same time not sure if it would be worth my time. I'll be curious to see what people think of it and decide if I should come back and binge later.
