For those of you that liked White Lotus check out The Resort. It doesn't match it pound for pound but I would easily recommend.

At some point I will check out The White Lotus. Have heard good things. Lots of talented people in it. I felt annoyed and mad the Jennifer Coolidge did not get to finish her acceptance speech. If they had only cut out one of those stupid fillers, like the opening segment of dancers dancing to EDM version of TV theme songs, maybe they could have given her another 30 seconds to talk. Although Michael Keaton droned on an on when he won.

Very excited for Sheryl Lee Ralph for her Supporting Actress in a Comedy and Quinta Brunson for her Best Writing in a Comedy Series for Abbott Elementary. And Jimmy Kimmel should be fired from ABC for ruining Quinta Brunson's moment. He better make it up to her in some way. What an ***.

Emmy producers need to stop having famous singers sing a song during the Dead People Tribute. Half the time the camera is on them and not the slides of the dead people. It's annoying.

I'm a little surprised Lee Jung-jae won. He deserved it, but man, the cast of Succession did an incredible job as well. Crazy tough year going up against Cox, Odenkirk, and Strong. I'm really glad Macfadyen won. His performance this season was just spectacular.

Need to watch White Lotus.
 
odenkirk, seehorn and bcs should be up next year as their season split qualifies them.

macfayden absolutely deserved to win. As did the white lotus winners
 
I don't give a crap about the actors, they're fungible. I don't even care about Gilligan and Gould. But it cheese me off the actual writers haven't won. Name a better written show.
 
Though did anyone else feel Succession S3 was the weakest of the three seasons? Not bad, mind you, but probably something better out there.

Dang. I hadn't heard that S4 is last. I guess I'd rather them take that gamble. So what if it's bad? You still have 1-3.


Edit: Seems like the articles I'm seeing say it's very unlikely to go past 5, but 4 seems like a good chance of being the last.

Actually, I thought season 3 was the strongest. I would go 3, 2, 1. I had to restart season 1 because I couldn't get into the show till, like, episode 5. The season 3 finale was fabulous. We all should have seen it coming. I gasped at the end.

Generally agree that 3 was great. I think I'd put 1 & 3 slightly above 2. I thought the story in 1 was the high point of the series and the acting in 3 was the best.
 
That's not correct. 2 is just 'splosions, it's boring. 1 and 3 are better. Don't be a Handy. We have more than enough Handy.

I watched season 1 and I thought it was ok. It was definitely enough that I planned to watch the second season. Unfortunately, it sort of just got caught in a backlog of things I want to watch, so I'm behind and haven't seen season 2 or the current season. However, I think I will definitely finish up the series.
 
Jesus fuck, Jon Hamm doing Progressive ads?

Football means seeing ads for the only time all year, and that sucks but it is rarely that sad.
