Re: TV 10: Blacklisted Sons: The Musical

Manhattan has been pretty good overall, but the sixth episode, which aired last week was really, really high quality television. I'm kind of surprised it hasn't received more critical attention, but I could see it being something that gains more attention over time.

No spoilers!!!

I'm only on ep 2. So far I'll take it, but my advice would be more science, less family. I don't care about your inane wife, dude, I care about isotope separation.

I've enjoyed it, but missed Ep 1 and 5 and DTV doesn't offer OnDemand for this show for some reason.

Season 3 ending episode of SOA.

I still pop that ep in randomly, it's that good. Probably my fave of the whole series.

Spoiler...

Sweet payoff. I wanted her dead so bad. Part of me kind of liked her too.

Caught myself yelling at the screen the past few eps... :D

3 seasons to go in a week. Just might get 'er done.

Godspeed. Especially with last season, where I don't think any eps were less than 75 minutes long (broadcast time).

Being this immersed is messing with me a bit.

Intentionally put my shoulder into a guy at the high school football game on Friday who walked down our row and didn't bother to say "excuse me." Wanted to drop a guy that crowded me in the grocery store looking at steaks.

I gotta chill the f out as I'm no tough guy.

Mean maybe, but not a brawler.

Maybe I'll cross check someone on the ice tonight.

:D

Dunno if you're on the Tweeter Machine, but Tig/Juice/Otto/Gemma (to list the characters) are all very active on there. Chibs just joined up a couple weeks ago. Pretty entertaining. During the filming of S7, Coates was in desperate need to watch the Stanley Cup, and they didn't allow any way to watch that on the set. He apparently found a way, but wouldn't divulge how. :D

Re: TV 10: Blacklisted Sons: The Musical

Just stumbled across a MAJOR spoiler for SOA. Dammit.

I've been trying not to know anything. Been steering clear of IMDB and anywhere else that might clue me.

Thing is though that I thought I heard this particular tidbit on a season 7 preview earlier in the summer although it didn't mean anything at the time as I wasn't watching the show yet.

I kinda knew though and now it's confirmed.

It's from the Season 6 finale.

Gotta start watching this stuff in real time. :o

Thankfully, I knew absolutely nothing about Breaking Bad.

Re: TV 10: Blacklisted Sons: The Musical

I bet I know the spoiler, too. The only things I've seen about S7 are the tweeters from the cast/writer (and I never click on links they provide). So I know about guest stars....and that's it.

Re: TV 10: Blacklisted Sons: The Musical

This is a great opportunity; only question is whether they'll do it right or blow it.

Oh, and if there's anybody who hasn't read it, go do it right now, we'll wait, it only takes a couple hours.

Re: TV 10: Blacklisted Sons: The Musical

The thing with SyFy is they understand the viewerbase for each of their shows really well. They know precisely who they are targeting when they make Sharknado and they fully understand that's a different audience than when they make a more serious attempt at a show (as I assume this one will be).

This.

And "The Final Ride" is really starting to gnaw at my brain. /SOA

Boardwalk Empire's final season starts tonight. I can't remember where we left off.

That is a show I heard that I should watch. Probably wait until after this season is done, and just plow through it on Netflix.

Re: TV 10: Blacklisted Sons: The Musical

Schoolhouse Rock special on ABC tonight. I had set my DVR for it thankfully as I totally spaced it was on. Watching it now and singing along, reliving my youth.

Re: TV 10: Blacklisted Sons: The Musical

I don't hate Utopia so far. As long as producers stay out of it, it should remain just fine. I don't want another Big Brother clone. Don't give them tasks or challenges or anything. Just let it all play out naturally.
