Yes. Look up on YouTube WCTR (GTA: San Andreas version), VCPR (GTA Vice City), WCTR (GTA 5), Blaine County Radio (GTA 5), and whatever the GTA IV ones were (I can't remember). The satire in the GTA talk radio stations is fantastic.

If I'm not mistaken, didn't Anthony Cumia from Opie and Anthony voice some/most of the satire talk radio stations starting with GTA San Andreas? Opie might have helped too.

Opie and Anthony helped write some and I believe voiced callers but Lazlow did most of the writing IIRC.

The San Andreas version of WCTR is probably one of the best takedowns of news and talk radio, and media in general. From Wil Wheaton's hilarious "field reporter Richard Burns" to "The Tight End Zone" and Lazlow on Entertaining America ("The media, stop calling us liberal! This station is owned by Ammu-Nation! Ever hear anybody on here talk about guns? Hosts are getting shot by them all the time but it just gets glossed over...") is great as well. WCTR is actually so good it makes you listen to it instead of what is a fantastic soundtrack.

This idea was first used to an extreme by Joseph Goebbels. His postulation was the if he built on people's existing prejudices he could eventually make the Jews responsible for all the problems in Germany. And he was right, he could. The use of propaganda as a weapon is very powerful.

I doubt he was first, even in the extreme. I'm sure it goes back to the very first public speech. In fact I'll bet Cicero discusses it in his book on rhetoric, which is basically subtitled "How To Win Your Lawsuits By Any Means Necessary." :p

I know. I was, more or less, making a comment on how everything going on right now is being blamed on a man who has yet to even take office. I don't like, didn't vote for him, but the Blame Trump crowd really needs to get a grip on things.

Trump doesn't have to take office to earn some applause for the surfacing of ever-more-blatant racism. He bequeathed that to us just by his campaign.

Of course, when we say "Thanks, Trump" it's only a sarcastic barb. It's not Trump's fault that there is an apparently large number of "Heartland" "real /'Muricans" who dream of segregation and putting people "in their place."

Nice to see this finally got press. It was the worst-kept secret inside the Beltway.

The gossip in town is he has flat out said he's not interested in them. He's got his ideas, he's going to go by his ideas, it's all these intel pointy-heads who have caused all the problems so he won't look to them for solutions.

This is why we don't elect doctors or center fielders.
