Re: TRP: More metal than your mother

I'll take a lake or big river any time, anywhere. Especially on a crisp fall night.

Re: TRP: More metal than your mother

Overheard on KFAN:

Sludge: Meatsauce, do you even have a triple digit IQ?
Meatsauce: What? NO! That's alot! Triple digits, thats like 100, right?

Re: TRP: More metal than your mother

Anyone else find this post a bit funny? A sioux fan talking about oceans and mountains. ;)
He lives in Denver and has seen the Atlantic and Pacific oceans. I'd say that qualifies him to have an opinion on which type of geography is preferred. After traveling to both coasts and Denver several times, I'd say I agree with him (I've been to Seattle, San Fran/Oakland, San Diego, NYC, Boston, and DC).

Denver itself is nothing special. But the foothills and the mountains are truly something amazing. The Atlantic is nothing special. The Pacific, if viewed from Monterey or Hawaii, is awesome. But give me mountains anyday.

Re: TRP: More metal than your mother

I haven't lived near either, but seen both. I think I'd prefer mountains, though given the environment I grew up in, I think I'd pick a midwest agricultural location over both mountains or oceans. You can take the boy off the farm, but you can't take the farm out of the boy. :o

Re: TRP: More metal than your mother

There's nothing more soothing than a powerful hurricane displacing a bunch of idiots that live too close to the ocean.

Which is why I love that I live on one of the highest points in town. I'm still near the ocean but just not too close. The NH coast would be better, the last time a Cat 2 hit NH was before I was born.

It's been about 150 years since a hurricane impacted CA, so I think I'm good on that front. And the few remnants of tropical storms that affect the are every decade also don't make me concerned.

The earthquakes though...those are a different story.

Yeah, I'll take the Hurricane risk over the Earthquakes any day. I like being able to see my disasters coming.

Twin Cities people - has anyone eaten at Piccolo? Just saw it featured on last week's No Reservations and it looked phenomenal, considering making a mental note of it for next April.

This looks like someplace Nathan might have gone, not so much Hoven.

Re: TRP: More metal than your mother

My roommate moves out tomorrow. I haven't lived alone in 4 years. Someone hold me.
