I like the big knockers brunette chick. She gets the job done right, quick, and I like to stare - I think it's her smile...and something else. It's too bad she smokes. And it's been too long since I've been there.
Dude, I remember the $1 power hour.Sadly the Refuge waitresses (all 2 of them) are just average and not that attentive. But they are nice. I've been going there since that place opened basically. The good ol days of $1.50 power hour!

Meh, I wouldn't say shes quick. But hey she does have big boobs so I can't really blame ya there. I know her name, but not the newish blonde that works there.
I've reverted to sitting at the bar exclusively now. Easier to tip in shots that way too. Drunk waitress = no service. I went Friday for the first time in months. Was pretty busy because of the Twins, and they have all HD TVs now.
Oh and them taking Newcastle off tap ****ed me off (bottle only now).

I don't think I know the new blond. The guy bartender's been there a while, the woman bartender looked like she was about to pop out the kid at any moment when I was last there, and they had some new waitress that I can't describe at this point.
I do remember that they had a set of waitresses that worked there for a few years straight. My coworkers and I would stop off there every Friday for some 18 months, without fail. It wasn't until then that the one waitress whose section in which we always sat even remembered me. Apparently, I'm not very memorable. And she was really stupid.

I do think Brother's still has some decent deals, and it's not a bad bar for just hanging out.
Which reminds me, gimme some good bar bars (not dance clubs like the friggin' Drink or Escape or other BS dresscode/high cover charge crap) around Target Center/Block E. This question is for everyone.
I know about Shouthouse, Keiran's, and Brother's. Other than that, a lot has changed since I went there on a regular basis. Cover charges are okay if they are only a couple bucks, but live music is almost a must, in that case.

I wasn't there, but I've been told Elixir has decent prices and a similar atmosphere. Bootleggers, if it's still going, is a good place. I don't know if they still run the deal, but during happy hour, they used to play a game of chance with all patrons - should you decide to go that route. You'd flip a coin, and you'd drink for free if you called it right but pay full price if you got it wrong. Otherwise it was two-fers. And regardless of that, they had a free buffet setup.
The Refuge is the dive bar sort of place, like JF and I have said, it's cheap and brunette waitress has a pair of nice hangers. Brother's is located just under the Refuge - physically, not pejoratively.

Gonna be wanting to barhop in a couple weekends, a sort of ghetto-style/simple bachelor party thing (although it's gonna be a really really small group, I think; stupid family obligations). Chances are, we'll try and hit as many bars as we can until we get tired of walking around.

Bootleggers is 2 for 1's until 10 I think. Brent, you've been there too, the live music is usually decent there but the rap **** that they play between sets is brutally bad.

I know I've been there. I mentioned it in my last post.
This group doesn't mind the "rap s*." In fact, we kinda like it, depending.
We'll probably start out at the Lion's Pub/Tap whatever it is, by Murray's, if only for old time's sake. That was always ALWAYS our "warm up bar" back in the day.

Is that all they do for specials now? There was a period a couple years ago when they weren't open during happy hour, opening for business at 8 or 9 instead. It struck me as a bar on the verge. I hope they're doing better now with Target Field open. All the bars in that area should be doing all right.

Whenever I've been there it has been packed after about 11. It seems like they don't do a lot of business earlier, then tons of people show up later. It does seem like they are even busier now on twins game nights. The 2 for 1 special is the only one I've come across there, which isn't too bad, since it actually brings the price of a single drink down to a somewhat reasonable price.
