Re: TRP: Betty Humpter

2 AM and she calls me 'cause I'm still awake,
"Can you help me unravel my latest mistake?,
I don't love him. Winter just wasn't my season"
Yeah we walk through the doors, so accusing their eyes
Like they have any right at all to criticize,
Hypocrites. You're all here for the very same reason

'Cause you can't jump the track, we're like cars on a cable
And life's like an hourglass, glued to the table
No one can find the rewind button, girl.
So cradle your head in your hands
And breathe... just breathe,
Oh breathe, just breathe

May he turn 21 on the base at Fort Bliss
"Just a day" he said down to the flask in his fist,
"Ain't been sober, since maybe October of last year."
Here in town you can tell he's been down for a while,
But, my God, it's so beautiful when the boy smiles,
Wanna hold him. Maybe I'll just sing about it.

Cause you can't jump the track, we're like cars on a cable,
And life's like an hourglass, glued to the table.
No one can find the rewind button, boys,
So cradle your head in your hands,
And breathe... just breathe,
Oh breathe, just breathe

There's a light at each end of this tunnel,
You shout 'cause you're just as far in as you'll ever be out
And these mistakes you've made, you'll just make them again
If you only try turning around.

2 AM and I'm still awake, writing a song
If I get it all down on paper, it's no longer inside of me,
Threatening the life it belongs to
And I feel like I'm naked in front of the crowd
Cause these words are my diary, screaming out loud
And I know that you'll use them, however you want to

But you can't jump the track, we're like cars on a cable,
And life's like an hourglass, glued to the table
No one can find the rewind button now
Sing it if you understand.
and breathe, just breathe
whoa breathe, just breathe,
Oh breathe, just breathe,
Oh breathe, just breathe.

Uhh... it's 10:56 your time. What are you talking about?
I've moved on to watered down apple juice (replacing electrolytes FTW), and backspace and spell check are my friend.

Re: TRP: Betty Humpter

I posted this in the Extra thread, who is up for a fun trip next fall? :D
The flights were too expensive, and you'd have to fly into Memphis, it appears. I think the best plan of action would be to make a weeklong trip, visiting several SEC campuses, to make a complete comparison. This might have to be done during hockey season, unfortunately.

Tentative Plan:
Thursday Night - LSU (Baton Rouge, LA)
5hr 45min drive
Friday Night - Ole Miss (Oxford, MS)
2hr 19min drive
Saturday Lunch - Miss. State (Starkville, MS)
1hr 35min drive
Saturday Night Night (post football game) - Alabama (Tuscaloosa, AL)
3hr 52min drive
Sunday Night - Vanderbilt (Nashville, TN)
3hr 29min drive
Monday Night - Kentucky (Lexington, KY)
2hr 43min drive
Tuesday Night - Tennessee (Knoxville, TN)
4hr 35min drive
Wednesday Night - South Carolina (Columbia, SC)
3hr 3min drive
Thursday Night - Georgia (Athens, GA)
3hr 21min drive
Friday Night - Auburn (Auburn, AL)
6hr 8min drive
Saturday Night (post football game) - Florida (Gainesville, FL)

Who's in?

Re: TRP: Betty Humpter

If I'm going to the SEC, I'm going to watch their hot women's gymnastics teams. Unfortunately, that sport's season mostly overlaps with hockey.

This trip can take place any time of the year, gymnastics season seems like it would be a good choice. I was thinking fall, but a January trip would work too. :D

I don't even want to think about how expensive this trip would be.

edit: I'd say I put together a pretty decent trip, according to this website. 6 out of 10 is pretty good.

Man, this intro/first song of the album is one of my top 5 intros all time. It just punches you in the face. (edit: about 2:30 in is when the lyrics hit, but the intro is key)

Re: TRP: Betty Humpter

2 things to note...

1) I am finally allowed to have beer in the main fridge only if it is a 6 pack or less, which we all know it will be gone in 2 hours or less.

2) I just got free mardi gras beeds at the bar and did not have to show the boobs.
