Agreed. I mean, that's why I'd wait for the bullhorn. If some guy just said "I'm the police," you're not really sure sometimes. They bust out the bullhorn and show of force? "Welcome in! Want some coffee?"
I think if I looked through a peephole or an upstairs window and saw a bunch of guys with guns pointing at the door that I wouldn't worry too much about a warrant, and I wouldn't want them even thinking that I might be uncooperative. With all the security, if someone comes to the front door, it ain't gonna be the fugitive.
They've done some interviews with folks who've been evacuated. Most of them said it was frightening opening the door with your child in your arms and seeing a bunch of guns pointed at you, but they understand what the authorities are doing.
