One question unanswered: this issue of alcohol not being involved. Is that based on conversations with Tiger before he was transported? Surely they didn't give a guy with "blood in his mouth" a breathylizer. That leaves only drawing blood to determine BAC.

Most unnecessary modifier: use of the word "golfer" before Tiger's name in various accounts of the accident. He's one of the dozen most famous people on the planet. I'm guessing most folks wouldn't confuse him with the Tiger Woods who does tattoos at 5 points.

Forget the National Enquirer; even if the explanation for what happened is totally benign, Woods has got to be hating this. He controls access to his private life almost completely. His yacht is "Privacy," and he won a nearly 200K judgement from the guy who built it because the guy tried to cash in on his association with Woods.

TMZ is already out there claiming his wife inflicted the injuries, not the accident. No matter what explanation he offers, even if 100% accurate, there will still be many folks who think he's got something to hide.

I am sorry, I never trust the tabloids but the official story for this stinks to high heaven. Either he was drunk, high as a kite or the TMZ story is the most likely option. Not a good month so far for El Tigre ;)

We will know TMZ is right when there is a press conference in a few days and Mrs. Tiger is wearing a brand new diamond ring just like Kobe's wife was after his "encounter" in Colorado ;)

Biggest upset of ’09: a PGA golfer got beaten up by his wife in the wee hours of the AM b/c he was two-timing her, and it WASN'T John Daly.

What I'd like to know is if he was backing out of the driveway or going forward. If he was backing out and hit all that stuff...how did he mess up his face? His head would whiplash backwards...not into the steering wheel. If he was going forward...how did he miss all of that??? He had to have been all hopped up on goofballs.

His face didn't get messed up in the accident. It got scratched up in the fight with his wife beforehand, from which he fled the house and tried to drive away,and she chased with the golf club and that's how the accident happened. At least that's the latest rumor.

No disagreement. Like the detective said in Psycho, "if it don't jell it ain't aspic, and this ain't jellin." My only point was big segments of the public will put the worst possible spin/explanation on this no matter what the "truth" is. It's not like there are going to be witnesses. And it's not like Mr. and Mrs. Woods are going to disagree in public about what happened.
