So that rules out asking him if he'd been drinking, field sobriety tests, etc and a breath test. That leave only drawing blood to make an accurate determination. Or perhaps they just took his wife's word for it. BTW, I'm not suggesting he'd had too much, everything I know about him points emphatically away from that possibility. Just curious about the emphasis on booze not being involved.

2:25am on a holiday? You hear that, there are usually some safe assumptions. Hence, the stressing of non-alcohol-related in this case, I am guessing.

Your're right. The question is: how did they know?

Oh, it was "golfer" Tiger Woods involved on a traffic accident being announced multiple national TV channels simultaneously. I thought it was the Tiger Woods who painted my garage last summer. :)

I lost track of the number of DUI's I arrested in 21 years, but this whole incident has sent my BS meter off the scale.

The airbag on an Escalade didn't deploy, yet Elin apparently had to use a golf club to smash the rear window?? How did she get him out of the SUV? I'm not sure she'd be able to drag him over the seats and out the back.

Too bad Stevie wasn't there -- would have made club selection easier for Elin. :D

As for "alcohol not being involved" at 2:30 in the AM -- the odds are slim and none -- and slim left town on the noon train. :rolleyes: ;)

maybe she blew out the window as he was leaving to go see the girlie?!?!


i can believe he wasn't under the influence. he surely doesnt want to get pulled over for DWB. ;)

The only thing I can think of is she didn't have the keys and could see he was only semi-conscious.

I thought I had read somewhere that Tiger didn't drink. I may not remember it right though...

Good thing it wasn't a 1-iron. As Lee Trevino said, "In case of a thunderstorm, stand in the middle of the fairway and hold up a one iron. Not even God can hit a one iron." :D
