Now this is what I expect from the sponsors:

"I think he's (Tiger) been really great," Nike Chairman Knight said in the interview published Monday. "When his career is over, you'll look back on these indiscretions as a minor blip, but the media is making a big deal out of it right now."

It is all about the $$$. Do whatever (or in this case whomever) you want just keep bringing the $$$.

And while I don't know the exact numbers you gotta figure even if everyone else dumps him Nike alone should be more than enough to stay afloat.

Of course. I was speaking historically. Notre Dame with a two game home losing streak to NAVY. It doesn't get much better than that! And now they've fired that pompous jerk ("look at my Superbowl rings!) and maybe hired a real college coach.

Interesting piece. But it's really over the line to drag poor old Roberto de Vicenzo's gaff out of the closet and imply that he did it intentionally, or that signing an incorrect card is in the same league with several people getting killed at a Ray Lewis Superbowl party.

Back in the 80's when Illinois had Tony Eason, the Big Ten title was going to be decided in Champaign when Michigan came to town. True to form, that p***k Schembechler began whining about the "crowd noise" at Illinois. Let's go to the videotape, a-hole, you play week after week at home in front of 105K, and you're complaining about the crowd noise at Illinois? Illinois students were wearing buttons that read: NOMOBO. Sweet. Still.

So what?

Accenture used Tiger because of his perceived excellence and integrity. Nike used him because he's a great athlete - and they've never shied away from controversial figures.

eh, Tiger doesn't need to cheat... others do it for him... or was that my eyes deceiving me when a ball going out of play down a path some how made a return trip up a path and back into play.

not for nothin' but no i have no dog in this fight. i guess i'm just appalled at the extent of the con tiger pulled off and the $$$$$$ involved and how so many lemmings migrated to this d-bag:eek:

i'm hearing he has been juiced for a long time now as in steroids. not that it surprises me at this point:rolleyes:

I have it on good authority that allegedly Tiger eats live kittens, routinely doesn't wash his hands after using the restroom and steals from the church's collection plate ... :rolleyes:

I have it on good authority that when Tigers does his trademark fist-pumping after making a tough shot that he's really pretending that Elin is in front of him and he's punching her in the boobs.
