Tickets for the Final Four, Lake Placid NY

Re: Tickets for the Final Four, Lake Placid NY

But otherwise, no, I plan on living off my star power and having everyone buy me a beer...

Don't worry. We'll do our best to lube up the barmaiden on Thursday again to set the tone for the weekend. The funny part is that it was a calculated ploy on our part and it actually worked.

I had totally forgotten about the bet. Glad you mentioned it. I can already tell that one's going to be the best tasting pint of the weekend. :)

Re: Tickets for the Final Four, Lake Placid NY

Now I can participate fully, without fear of jinxing my Cadets - second row center ice for the weekend :D

Re: Tickets for the Final Four, Lake Placid NY

Just checked the scoreboard page of this site (USCHO)
Plattsburgh-Norwich is the 7:00pm game on Friday.

I believe the Friday games are 4pm and 7:30pm. NCAA site does not yet have times assigned, but those are the times from the Olympic Center site.

1980- I was working on the Biathlon venue, and we had our end of season banquet that evening of the US-USSR hockey game in the hotel that is adjacent to the arena, maybe 1-200 yards away, and we caught the buzz as to what was happening. The dinner was suspended early, and we began celebrating, lasted long into the night. Watched the gold medal game two days later from our quarters located between Saranac and Placid. Think it was a Sunday morning game......memories, memories:D

Your recollection of the day is more detailed than mine, it was a Sunday, and it was snowing lightly, I remember that. And I had tickets to the most exciting sporting event I'm ever likely to attend. Can't wait to go back for the first time since then. Talk about memories :)

Well now that Plattsburgh is officailly going to LP we're getting our group together. groups of 20 or more get a discount and it's only $20 per person... shouldn't have a problem getting 20 people together!

Re: Tickets for the Final Four, Lake Placid NY

I called the Box Office this morning and got my tickets. I don't know how long they are open today.

Re: Tickets for the Final Four, Lake Placid NY

It's possible to buy tickets online, but I think that you'll find it easier, and be happier if you call the Olympic Center Box Office at (518) 523 3330

It's there, but the 2-day package is listed as "DII Men's All-Tournament" and says "currently unavailable for online purchase". Only the individual days are working. If you're going both days and want to save that extra $5, buy via phone.

Until NEW memories are created this weekend! Nothing more exciting than the Cadets at LP and ME and all kids are HOME!!!!! :D

Ticket Information: Just off the phone with the folks at Herb Brooks arena. They said the NCAA website is down but theirs is working and because of that their are in overload with phone calls. They suggest going to their website via whitefacelakeplacid.com and process there. Good luck. :)

Maybe A Better Website for Tickets:

My wife is a whiz at getting places on the web and she just passed this other website specific to this NCAA Div III Hockey Tourney to me. This may be even better. Good luck. :)

Glad to see they finally fixed the link on the "Buy Ticket Now" page. But if you want the 2-day package, they still ask you to call.

Also, there is $5 per order surcharge for ordering by phone, but ordering online has a $2.50 per ticket surcharge. If you're buying more than 2, it's worth it to make the call.
