Defensive Player of the week: Meghann Treacy (Maine)
Team of the Week: Northeastern.

It seems a little odd that Northeastern get Team of the Week for just beating the teams that finished 7th and 12th in ECAC last year, while a nearby WHEA team did considerably better against the team that finished 5th in ECAC and didn't get Team of the Week... but I assume they just want to introduce a bit of variety into a season that might otherwise get monotonous. Likewise, I notice that Player of the Week was shared between two of the three players who got three goals and four points over the weekend, but nothing for the third player (hint: her name rhymes with "Parupa").

More seriously, Treacy from Maine seems to be the real deal: very active goaltending in the Brittany Ott style, exactly who Maine needs back there.
