Things you've learned as a parent...

In all seriousness, if I had continued pursuing a career as a Part 121 pilot after HS, odds are I'd probably be a Bronco fan today. Bowling Green has a good pilot mill as well, one of my HS best friends who now works for United went there. There was a guy who graduated 2 years ahead of us who went all the way up to UND.

I would 100% send anyone who wants to be an airline pilot to one of those three before I took out loans to pay $45,000/yr for Embry. 🤮

Anyway, back to your regularly scheduled parenting stories/encouragement. Good luck, dx.
My cousin went to Embry. Of course that was a long time ago and her father could afford it (he was a stockbroker).

Thanks burd.

If anyone repeats this I’ll swear it’s a slanderous lie. But if the kiddo wants to be a pilot, there’s really only once choice. Otherwise it’s “you can go wherever you want, but we’ll only pay for Minnesota”. :-D

We’re scheduled for a 7/4-7/6 due date now. Getting awfully close.
7/4…would be taking Independence Day to a whole new meaning. But hey, at least you’ll always have free fireworks on your kid’s birthday.

Oh man, my wife was admitted to the hospital Monday night (father = guest), and early Thursday morning my daughter was born. It’s just a walk in a very large park.

Watching my wife on nitrous was a treat. 😂

For our 1st we went in to have my wife induced as she was past her due date. After 2 epidurals (because they effed up the 1st one) and 24 hours of labor but not reaching full dilation (sp?) she ended up with a Caesarean. I was thoroughly wiped after all that.

I was doped up for the scheduled c-section (breech baby). My hubs refuses to have another 'cause he doesn't want to see me go through that again. Other than throwing up/feeling woozy after from the drugs, I had no issues with the surgical removal of the parasite. No labor pain for me (just some recovery from surgery)

One of my favorites happened when a friend of mine had his 3rd. She arrived a little earlier than expected, so my friend had to rush from work and showed up to the delivery room in his work clothes. After many hours on his feet, his arches were absolutely killing him - but he couldn't complain one bit about the pain!
