Yeah, that guy is a real piece of work to begin with. Mix in what I'm sure was a substantial amount of booze and those GOP "family values" go right out the window.
Michigan, per Jeff timmer:
“ MIGOP legislator (and the son of an actual honest to god Nazi) arrested in Lansing chasing a stripper while brandishing a gun”
Florida real estate is a digested McD's steak egg & cheese bagel w/ black coffee just minutes from making an explosive exit.
It’s a performative arts bill, signed because of the upcoming election. The state will lose in court, even if appealed up to this SCOTUS.
I wouldn't count on it...they will find some way to couch it in something that sounds legit and allow it. Alito will have a stroke jerking off at the chance.

My FIL and his friend are looking to sell their house in Ormond Beach. It’s a 55 over community, they paid cash for the house, but HOA fees are like 2k/month. Everyone is moving out of there due to said HOA. FIL’s friend went off the deep in and wanted to get out of NY due to its politics, but now says FL is worse than he thought (lmao). He’s looking to get back in NY. The contract that Re/Max was having them sign had a clause that said if they (Remax) couldn’t sell the house within 6 months, then FIL and friend were on the hook to pay ReMax $2500/month until it gets sold. FIL told them to go screw. There’s about 20 houses in the development for sale, including 4 right on their cul-de-sac. All have been on the market for 9 months or more. Meanwhile, we sold our 3 bed, 1 bath house in the village just north of Albany for 13k more than we asked, in two days and had a bidding war.

As a working class millennial who will probably never have the chance to own a home…
LET’S GO HOUSING MARKET COLLAPSE!!!
I believe in the good of humanity.
Utah set up a snitch website and phone line for reporting trans people using the bathroom, and people flooded both with bogus complaints. Utah has temporarily halted these investigations as a result.

I was on a flight the other day and a dbag Canadian (who was definitely rich and right wing) was talking to this dude from Minnesota who owns homes here and in FL. The Canadian was going off about Gavin Newsome and how he has destroyed California and it is a travesty (I wanted to ask if the clown had ever been to California but I chose instead to just listen and remind myself that Canadians are idiots too!) and the guy from Minnesota (he is very Centrist) kind of brushed it aside. When the Ambassador from Tim Hortons started talking up DeSantis though the Minnesota guy went on quite the rant about how he destroyed Florida, how him and the GOP there basically killed home ownership and their denial of Climate Change is crazy and how people are doing everything they can to leave. The Ambassador was legit shocked, he had heard nothing of this and thought DeSantis was a great Governor and would make a great President. That was shot down real quick!
Texas will be next. Those companies and rich Californians who moved there to avoid taxes have gotten a taste of how things are going to be going forward (only way worse) and they are going to flee. If every winter you are at risk of the grid shutting down and every summer you have to ration your energy because your state thinks it is better to autonomous sooner or later the tax savings aren't worth it.
As a millenial who bought a small home hoping to flip to a bigger one after 5 or 10 years, I second this!
