Re: The Power of SCOTUS VIII redux: IX is being blocked by the Senate.

Not good enough. You and Kep represent that Dems with that sanctimonious "Oh I'll hold my nose and vote for her" schtick. Collectively that depresses turnout, or causes 3rd party voting, so I hope you're proud of yourself once Trump is done us.

Then maybe it's time to look at throwing out establishment. After all, didn't you do that in 2008? The GOP tried "establishment" in 2012 and failed, but found someone who DGA* in 2016 and was able to actually connect with people.

Re: The Power of SCOTUS VIII redux: IX is being blocked by the Senate.

JFC you learned nothing from this election. Hillary loses to Trump and your only thought is "lazy people didn't vote!" instead of looking at why they didn't vote?

Don't you know, root cause analysis isn't important, only who is to blame?

If you think people stayed home because Jim and I didn't bow sufficiently low at the coronation, you literally learned nothing from this election.

Your defeatist attitude, talk of coronations and other such nonsense (the nomination ran through every state and territory until the very last one, DC) was the problem. You need to step up and own it. Sorry Kep if you don't like mirrors, but this one is on people with your attitude. Trump did not win an exceptional amount of votes. He won several states with less votes than Obama won them with, and in the case of WI he won the state with less votes than Bush got in 2004 in a losing effort. That's whiny Dems not showing up because they couldn't get 100% of what they wanted while making cutesy sexist comments along the way (which you are also guilty of). Again, own it.

Re: The Power of SCOTUS VIII redux: IX is being blocked by the Senate.

No. Hillary outvoted Trump by 3M votes, crushed him in the debates, and represented a sane alternative to a lunatic. Sometimes that's all you can do. The fault, almost all of it, lies with lazy sanctimonious Democrats who wouldn't support the party's nominees, from Hillary to the Senate to the House. You've never explained to me how liberal icon Russ Feingold lost his race in WI by more than Hillary did. If she was the problem, shouldn't he have won more votes than her?

I don't have to explain anything, sonny. We went with your horse and it lost. You own Trump. Thanks a bunch.

Hit a nerve, eh? Note that when the going gets tough for the bully, he always goes to ad hom.

Your. Candidate. Lost.

You. Lost.

End of transmission.

I don't care about establishment/non-establishment as much but I think Dems do need to throw off some old conventions. For example:

1) Trump's public shaming of companies sending jobs overseas is brilliant. A billionaire born in to wealth and privilege looks like the defender of the little guy. That's going to win him votes, regardless of what the net effect on jobs is. Dems tend to be too wimpy to do this.

2) They also need to ditch the feign towards the Republicans which not only never gets reciprocated but also is not rewarded by voters. They crave partisanship. If you do as I do and read the speeches of the great Presidents (Lincoln, FDR, Kennedy), not just the ones carved on memorials but all of them that they gave, they are highly partisan people with a clear this is what we stand for vs what they stand for attitude. Obama gets an F- in that regard.

3) Lastly and almost most importantly Dems suffer from a perception that they can't get anything done in the face of opposition. They have a genetic flaw that prevents them from using all (legal) means possible to enact change. Best line when Scottie Brown won that election was "GOP retakes Senate 41-59". Party needs to start playing for keeps. As repulsive as Gooper power grab in North Carolina is, its an example of one party bringing a gun to a knife fight.

So, to sum up, ditch the kumbaya sh it and start cracking skulls. I'd love it if voters rewarded reason and deliberation. They don't.

Oh **** off with that bulls***. (Kep has an Ivy League education and can't say this, even though he'd like too, but working class me can) There's nothing that says I have to bang the drum at the front of the march or I'm not supporting her. You can't blame us for telling the truth and then having people form their own opinions.

And nobody is more scared of a Trump presidency than I. Is your job, and the livelihood it affords your family, at jeopardy? Did you have to go into your job, look at the seniority list and hope that there's enough people under you? Did you have to look at your seven year old daughter and worry yourself sick at what's going to happen to her in the next four years? Quit your ****ing whining and actually take a look at what's going on, maybe you'll learn something.

Hey! I can so say "f-ck off"!!! :p

Reggie Dunlop: She underlines the f-ck scenes for ya? Jesus, if she underlines the f-ck scenes for ya, she must worship the ground you walk on.

Ned Braden: They teach you how to underline in college.

Reggie Dunlop: Not the f-ck scenes, they don't.

I don't need to learn I already know, which is why I'm here to inform you! Spending all campaign blasting your own nominee then wondering why people didn't show up on election day is called cutting off your nose to spite your face. Have fun with President Trump. In fact as I've said earlier I doubt I'll feel much effect for a Trump Presidency, but I'll be d @mned if I'm going to feel sorry for people who had the effect of putting him in office. Maybe people will learn their lesson next time.

Weren't you the poster who told us from August until November the election was already over, and called any doubters "bedwetters?"

Kep, you're breaking the deal. You quote the s*** out of books, I tell people to ******* off. You speak of the glorious benefits of the revolution, I shoot the people who disagree.

:D

That's because the 1%ers give their money to the Democrats. That includes Trump. People are starting to figure out that political elites on both sides are just using sheeple for their own gain, and then flipping them the bird when it comes time to actually helping out the populace. Hence why they picked what they did in the last three elections: They sound good at the mic.

Bring back the Occupy. Be tough on NAFTA, TPP, and the like. Let's do what Iceland did. Then we can fight about how to go forward from there.

Yep. And I was king of the bedwetters around here as I remember it.

Oh go ******* yourself. I voted for her, I did my part. But because I wasn't at the front banging the drum I now have to suffer?

And you wonder why Hillary lost?

You can say that about each and every election that's ever been since you were alive and it'd hold true.
