The Power of SCOTUS VIII redux: IX is being blocked by the Senate.

Re: The Power of SCOTUS VIII redux: IX is being blocked by the Senate.

Oh **** off with that bulls***. (Kep has an Ivy League education and can't say this, even though he'd like too, but working class me can) There's nothing that says I have to bang the drum at the front of the march or I'm not supporting her. You can't blame us for telling the truth and then having people form their own opinions.

And nobody is more scared of a Trump presidency than I. Is your job, and the livelihood it affords your family, at jeopardy? Did you have to go into your job, look at the seniority list and hope that there's enough people under you? Did you have to look at your seven year old daughter and worry yourself sick at what's going to happen to her in the next four years? Quit your ****ing whining and actually take a look at what's going on, maybe you'll learn something.

If your employment is based on a seniority list, then you should be able to recognize that your employer and/or collective bargainer doesn't give three ****s about your quality of work, and that you're just being used while being thrown a bone. If you think someone you don't even know is going to have more of an effect on your daughter than her own father, perhaps parenting could be more effective. This is an opportunity to step up for yourself and really show your character.

Re: The Power of SCOTUS VIII redux: IX is being blocked by the Senate.

You can say that about each and every election that's ever been since you were alive and it'd hold true.

I can justify every single one since 2000. But, you live on your high horse.

I live on no high horses. In all but one election I've voted, my candidate has lost. I just don't whine about it ad nausea. Instead I act like an adult and try to figure out what needs to change in order to get a win, and if that change is actually good for the nation.

1. If there was no union for my job I'd have been fired years ago in favor of someone cheaper.

2. I can teach my daughter a lot of things, I can be the greatest parent in the world, but I can't control how others parent their kids.

Hang on, that makes too much sense; can't have that... :p

1. Global competitiveness has more to do with that than your union. If anything, your union's making it even more difficult to be competitive, and once the contract runs out, perhaps they'll see reason to skip town.

2. Your original complaint mentioned nothing about other children, only yours. And if you can be the greatest parent in the world, that's a terrific thing, so trying to add to the problem in order to paint yourself as a victim is exactly what creates the problems we have in this country.

Oh go ******* yourself. I voted for her, I did my part. But because I wasn't at the front banging the drum I now have to suffer?

And you wonder why Hillary lost?

No thanks now keep me out of your fantasies. You have to suffer because you bad mouthed the nominee the whole way. If you and Kep are too dumb to figure out that hammering your own nominee as much as you're hamming the opposition, even though you are in agreement with your nominee 80% of the time is stupid, then you get what's coming. Don't say I didn't warn you as I did this about 9 zillion times during the primary. Ha ha! We came up with cute names for Hillary! Boy are we clever! Gee, we're not playing into the hands of the GOP at all, right? Right?

You're adorable.

Yes, well, I find venting helps my psyche. And I find this the best place to do it. I will not do it on social media.

A message board is social media, Scooby.

Kep, you're breaking the deal. You quote the s*** out of books, I tell people to ******* off. You speak of the glorious benefits of the revolution, I shoot the people who disagree.

:D

The Cause needs both of us. Iron fist in velvet glove. ;)

He voted for Hillary in a deeply red state, and it's his fault that Trump will be president in 2.5 weeks. Okay...

He and people like him. Too many Dems thought they were cute playing with the "Bernie...Okay Hillary I guess" bumper stickers. Why you guys can't figure out that spending the whole campaign blasting your nominee as much as your opponent isn't a good electoral strategy is beyond me. But hey! The Keps and Jims of the world sure came up with some clever nicknames for her! That offsets having Trump for Prez, right?

Dems, you did this to yourselves.

What I get from this is that you're a Reaganite.

Re: The Power of SCOTUS VIII redux: IX is being blocked by the Senate.

Rover is a bully, but we need him and all Democrats to fight the GOP. We've got a bigger problem now.

Anyway, our bone of contention is past so any further in-fighting serves no purpose. Rover: we won't convince each other, but you need the left and I need the center.

I think the prospects for Democratic unity are very good, since we have a very specific common enemy and that enemy is potentially highly destructive. It also helps that that enemy is just really gross. It was in fact very hard to fight against Reagan's bad policies because Reagan himself was honestly such a good guy. Again, with Dubya it was hard because the poor dumb bast-rd was obviously doing the best he could with what he had.

With Trump, there are no such problems. The guy would make Mother Theresa furious in fifteen minutes.
