The Power of SCOTUS VIII redux: IX is being blocked by the Senate.

Re: The Power of SCOTUS VIII redux: IX is being blocked by the Senate.

As I recall, Rover, that it was you who kept saying Hillary could not possibly lose and that concerns over Trump's candidacy were ill-founded and foolish. If that attitude was shared by many, it probably was as much a factor in Hillary's poor turnout as anything else.

Regardless of Rover's annoying denialist bravado, one of his points stands - Democrats did not get out the vote in certain states.

If people in MI, PA, NC, and/or OH had turned out in Obama's numbers, we'd be talking about what President Hillary will do. Instead, enough 18-to-twenty-something idiots and minorities stayed home and stomped their feet because BERNIE!!!111!! didn't win. Screw 'em.

Minorities didn't stay home because Bernie lost, I'll tell you that. One of Bernie's most worrying incapacities was getting anybody but white educated utes on his side in going up against Lady Tremaine.

Blacks stayed home because duh. No idea why the highly anticipated Brown Noise didn't sound. It's not like Stucco Stalin didn't give them enough motivation.

But it could be that at the end of the day a retread bankster moll just wasn't appealing to anybody but her fellow suits.

You're correct, but that's still not an excuse for the Dems. If they had motivated them even 10% more, Hillary most likely wins (and then we deal with the "SHE STOLE THE ELECTION!11!!!" crapola).

While I'm just as guilty of this, our sexist terminology for Hillary (Lady Tremaine, Elizabeth Báthory, etc.) did her no favors.

Something they need to fix. I like Kep's posting but his Mother Theresa act is absurd. During the primaries he was one of the most vociferous anti-Hillary Dems. You can't just flick a switch once the nomination is decided. Lazy Dems weren't all in for whatever stupid reason so they just willed the country to Trump-Ryan-McConnell in order to teach centrist Dems a lesson??? Oooookaayyyy
Considering you were the exact person saying they needed to get in line and that what they were talking about didn't need to be listened too (and you still are), you're the exact reason why they didn't vote for her. The Wall Street connections were that big of a deal, and deal breaker, for some people.

Also have to understand the different demos. Dems may have won Hispanics but they got their *** kicked by the Cuban community in Florida. Opening up relations with those ****tards in Cuba may lose them Florida for a generation.

Hope it was worth it for Trump and losing SCOTUS.

Exactly. Dems concerned about Hillary's Wall St connections just allowed Donald Trump to become President. And look at his cabinet selections. Wow, you really showed us Jim. . I'm sure the Donald will get right on that Wall St crackdown any day now.

Nobody disputes this. OF COURSE every Dem should have been out there at 6 am making sure they voted. But when your product fails you don't blame the customer, or you've learned nothing and you're just going to fail again. We had an election where the other side nominated a giant douc-he, but the Dem leadership just had to have their sh-t sandwich.

Hill-dawg didn't even bother campaigning in Wisconsin, and lost that. Heck, Minnesota was in play.

YES YOU DO! You continue to spew this nonsense that somehow Hillary cheated her way to the nomination. Then you sit around wondering why people stayed home? Talk about a fake news story. Hillary won the nomination fair and square. She wasn't the one hacking a rival campaign's database after all.

Fact is Kep you did the Republicans bidding during the primaries. But then they got their guy elected and you didn't. So...who got played for a sucker in that deal? Hint, its not the Republicans.

Re: The Power of SCOTUS VIII redux: IX is being blocked by the Senate.

Couldn't have said it better myself. Thanks for owning that. I'm curious if Kep will follow your example.

When I call Trump "Cinnamon Hitler" is that sexist? My God, I used a nickname where there was gender agreement with the subject. The horror... the horror.

Try again.

Funny thing is, there's also a legitimate beef surrounding voter IDs, as there was an issue at my polling place; I actually ended up making sure Democrat friends were able to vote. Let's not also forget DHS's attempts to hack elections (six states, including Georgia, confirm this), and the padded votes in Detroit.

If the left stuck with Occupy, they might have had a chance. Unfortunately, the Trayvon Martin incident conveniently pulled them away from fighting globalists and towards BLM.

I voted for Hillary so you can kindly **** off good sir.

Not good enough. You and Kep represent that Dems with that sanctimonious "Oh I'll hold my nose and vote for her" schtick. Collectively that depresses turnout, or causes 3rd party voting, so I hope you're proud of yourself once Trump is done us.

If you think people stayed home because Jim and I didn't bow sufficiently low at the coronation, you literally learned nothing from this election.

Do you agree Hillary was a bad candidate, in retrospect, given the anti-insider wave?

No. Hillary outvoted Trump by 3M votes, crushed him in the debates, and represented a sane alternative to a lunatic. Sometimes that's all you can do. The fault, almost all of it, lies with lazy sanctimonious Democrats who wouldn't support the party's nominees, from Hillary to the Senate to the House. You've never explained to me how liberal icon Russ Feingold lost his race in WI by more than Hillary did. If she was the problem, shouldn't he have won more votes than her?

JFC you learned nothing from this election. Hillary loses to Trump and your only thought is "lazy people didn't vote!" instead of looking at why they didn't vote?
