Actually yeah, about 7 pages ago. I'm just joking around now. I'm not being entirely serious. Would I like people to wait until it's on NBC? Yeah, definitely. Am I going to cry myself to sleep if they do spoil? No.

Yeah! I wonder if the Canadians even realized what they were doing. :p

So they're not even going to show the medal ceremonies in primetime, they're doing it later, after the local news. :rolleyes:

edit: maybe they'll show it now! please, NBC, don't screw this up

It's not so much here as it is the 10 or so Facebook feeds I can get the SBX results from... There are about 3 direct ones related to the US SKI TEAM... Or maybe the Snowboard Racing forum that I frequent... Or the 50 or so FB friends that are Ski/Snowboard Racing Fans... Basically the Olympics peak for me tomorrow, lol... I also get text updates from the US SKI Team as well as the Snowboard Team... And then there is Twitter....


It's times like these where I wish that we didn't live in such a connected world...

They might have blown it up a little bit but still...

Host nations usually always do very well when they host the olympics so was Canada the only host nation to not win a gold medal on home soil?

That would be newsworthy. Regardless, with how powerful Canada is in the winter games, not winning a gold medal on their home soil after hosting it twice already is a pretty big deal.

Yeah, but how do you actual make money off of that, unless you're doing something like MST3000 and just watching bad porn with you throwing out bad insults to the performance and actors. ;)

Ok I really have my gears grinding right now over the coverage of this event.

Jeremy Teela comes out with highest finish ever for an American in Biathalon with 9th place and NBC a) Never mentions where he's from (Anchorage), b) Doesn't show him during the event at all (understandable since they were undoubtably using a world feed), and c) No interview post-race. Instead NBC sticks to their wack *** story about the dude who finishes 47th and interviews him. :rolleyes:

Not so much NBC, but **** American style coverage of the Olympics!

I'm not sure why he's all excited over someone from Anchorage finishing 9th. Aren't they used to that with hockey? :confused: :D

So the hometown kid gets to go today; Nick Baumgartner in the snowboad cross. Classmates are flooding facebook with support. I'm just hoping he doesn't do like all his world cup events and have a decent qualifier and the sh** the bed in the finals.
