How the hell is figure skating scored these days? Each group has looked worse than one before, but the scores get higher

I'm also going to show my ignorance in asking what ever happened to the 9.2, 8.6, 9.7, 7.9, etc... scoring? I didn't understand that either, but could at least follow along.

Wow, these scores are a bit sketchy at best and the announcers agree.

And what the hell?!? Is china really that impoverished? She has the skinniest arms and legs I have ever seen. Jeeze..

And we all thought they <strike>fixed</strike> improved the judging after Salt Lake City.

The one blonde US skater was 16 and other one, I don't remember where she was from, was 17, I believe.

I don't think those are the pairs skaters. The one I saw was probably at least 24-25 and had been skating with her partner for 8(?) years.

As far as the points go, while some of the routines are about as clean as an NMU vag, difficulty plays a part in all this. A simple clean routine isn't going to net as many points as tougher sloppier one. Gymnastics has the same issue.

Ugh... After looking at tomorrow's TV schedule, I am gonna have to be VERY careful to not have things spoiled for me... NBC is delaying coverage of Men's SBX Eliminations and the Men's Downhill till prime-time... Yay for no internet tomorrow basically

Of course they're sketchy. It's a stupid "sport" based on judges and when they had a giant scandal where their judges were selling their scores, they responded by making all the individual judge scores anonymous.

That sort of thing should be a death blow to the entire federation.

Did someone post a request to everyone to not post results? Because I didn't see any. You are going way overboard with your complaining about it. I found out that Canadian won from another site accidentally. It happens.
