Re: The NFL Thread (cont'd)

So the Jets have a shot. Give them credit. They played the full sixty. Pittsburgh really has to run it here, take 35 seconds off the clock, and punt it. That means the NYJs get a chance for the most glorious of victories if they can pull it off. If they come up short, Sanchez is a hero in the minds of the Media Deciders. If they win, he's an immortal. Good God what a choice. :(
or throw it for a first down and win the game...

Re: The NFL Thread (cont'd)

Thank god. I could not have dealt with two weeks of nonstop Jets hype with Rex Ryan on the cover of the newspapers every day.

Re: The NFL Thread (cont'd)

**** the Jets. They buried themselves.

Pittsburgh is great when they get to avoid against the Patsies. ;) Good for them, though. They can't control the other teams; they get themselves into the tournament and play well when they got there. I can't complain about that.

EDIT: I'd have never thrown there. But that's example number 1,285 why I shouldn't coach. Did they not watch Detroit and Cleveland hand games to the Jets this season by being overly aggressive? Oh well, it worked. :)

Re: The NFL Thread (cont'd)

i am now really tempted to place somethin on the GB money line and guarantee myself a payout.... decisions, decisions..

Re: The NFL Thread (cont'd)

Too bad. I enjoyed watching all the New Englanders have a collective hissy. All things must pass, I suppose.

:)

I would. Guaranteed profit? Sign me up. The trick is figuring out how much to wager so you get the same amount of profit no matter who wins.

pitt will be the underdog, which hurts me.

i haven't hedged the last two years and gotten lucky. i get $4200 if the steelers win. at most i probably want to get a grand if the steelers lose as a hedge. we'll see.

OK women of the Dallas-Ft. Worth area, you have sufficient warning. Lock your bathroom doors because Big Ben is coming to town.

I'm not so sure they will be the underdog. Seedings, opponents, etc favor the Steelers IMO.
