I noticed that while we host Bemidji for our home-opening WCHA series, we're Bemidji's last WCHA home series of the regular season. I hope this becomes a trend (with swapping the locations every year).

I also see it's similar (but not quite) for MTU-NMU.

The chirping between @uahhockey and @BemidjiState this morning was hilarious. I'm surprised that they jumped in on that. I had one hell of a time. I guess my "green Beaver" joke wasn't that well-received.

How was the reffing in that Uah bemidji game? It seems that players are diving more this year than I can remember, so i'm wondering if this was the case down there as well. Let's not say diving, let's say embellishing so as to get a call.

What is the current WCHA protocol for post-game handshakes? In the CCHA it was always done after each game, but in the WCHA it was only after the last game of a series.

Last night in Marquette they shook hands. Although there was a bit of a scuffle near the end of it. Cooler heads prevailed.

There was one tripping call that wasn't whistled because it really looked like the player was trying to sell it. I didn't see much diving.

I don't buy it, because I don't see the NCHC falling apart that quickly. Maybe I'm foolish.

Basically my thoughts... Can't see Miami or Western jumping ship that quickly...

If anything its a big threat to AHA. Perhaps some of those teams mentioned in the article want to play in a more central geographic league with more scholarships. But rumors are just rumors
