Rough night for the WCHA. Only one win (LSSU). Anchorage getting smacked around by WMU through two, and Alaska/Denver left to go.

Waiting on the Alaska/Western Michigan game, the WCHA has gone 6-1 tonight. I'd say that's pretty good :)

Plus one of the "like minded programs" Denver got beat by both Alaska schools.

So what are the remaining Non-Conference games? I know UAF plays Mercyhurst this next weekend and UAA goes to Wisconsin in January.

Michigan Tech goes to Michigan in 2 weeks and hosts Michigan State the week after, then GLI with Michigan, MSU and WMU.

BSU hosts Miami in November and then has a home and home with North Dakota in January.

Those of us from the CCHA would call that an easy schedule. Gone are the days of having Michigan and Michigan State in our cluster wherw we played them four times. There is a reason NMU continually had one of the highest strength of schedules over the last decade.

MSU is part of the Minnesota Cup in which they will play St Cloud and either MN or Duluth. We also play a 2 game series at MN. All total that's 4 more non-conference games.

I'm surprised UAA scheduled a roadie to Wisconsin. Unless you're getting a big payout for it, seems to me it would be better to stay home, since you're paying for travel either way.

Well Wisconsin is coming up for the Kendall Classic next year, I imagine they're related.
