Re: The New WCHA 3, Revenge of the Sieve (2013-14)

Well Wisconsin is coming up for the Kendall Classic next year, I imagine they're related.

Good job by UAA on getting Wisconsin to venture north for the Kendall. What is the conventional wisdom on future teams for the Kendall & Brice considering conference realignments? Is it expected to get easier or tougher to fill the non-conference slots? Or has nothing really changed?

I imagine it's not terribly difficult as UAA and UAF seem willing to pay at least some travel costs and they get 2 extra games as well.

Re: The New WCHA 3, Revenge of the Sieve (2013-14)

So what are the remaining Non-Conference games? I know UAF plays Mercyhurst this next weekend and UAA goes to Wisconsin in January.

UAH has St. Cloud at home Nov. 15-16 (for Nic Dowd), then at Notre Dame's tournament Thanksgiving weekend, then at Wisconsin the weekend after Christmas, then at Notre Dame (again) on Jan. 10-11.

This was beautiful. Has Denver ever gone o-fer on a trip to Alaska?

Valley Trash???? … Inching back towards _airbanks I see. I am miffed as not invited to your housewarming. I guess you figured I couldn't come up with a pregnant farm animal for the house warming party cover charge.

I would guess it would be for those extra home games.

Yeah I wonder if there's a push for the B1G schools to have more home dates for TV purposes? Playing games in Alaska would help with that as playing in either tournament here gets a team a road and neutral site game plus two extra games.

Playing in Alaska for non-conference games does not result in extra home games, it results in those extra road/neutral games.

Yeah...we are happy to live in Alaska again!

But don't worry, I do the valley rally every day for my panhandling gig in midtown Anchorage.

The slate seems to be getting tougher. Also Air Force seems to be a regular now. I suspect we will continue to see former CCHA and old WCHA schools participate to pick up the Alaska exemptions that they are now missing out on.

Looking forward to Penn State next year, but I hope it's not too much of a love fest for Gadowsky.

We talked up-topic about me doing broadcasting. You can all now listen in to our games and make fun of me, because I'm back on color for our A1 broadcasts. I hope that I still remember how to do this...

Look at the bright side, you're instantly better than the sack of **** doing play-by-play in Duluth.

Games played in Alaska do not count against your 34 allotted NCAA games. Teams traveling to Alaska can play two extra games. WCHA teams making two trips to Alaska can play four extra. Whether they are home or road or neutral is up to whomever does your non conference scheduling.

Yes, we understand. This has been common knowledge for years now.

do you understand that if Michigan has a 34 game schedule all figured out, going to Alaska to play in a tournament doesn't change those 34 games? They only get to add the Alaska games. As a conference opponent, Michigan Tech gets the opportunity for more games at home because their games in Alaska are part of their conference schedule.

Its pretty obvious that this is way over his level of comprehension.

If I were doing PBP instead of color, you might not feel that way. I did it in college and, eep.
