Fans will always bring up facts that supports their cause. That being said, while I would rather have North Dakota's last 7 seasons than just about any other team except 6 (BU, BC, MSU, DU, UW and UMD), it is frustrating to get close time after time and not finish it off. You will call it choking (which it probably is) and us North Dakota fans have it coming to us for the relentless Golden Choker routine of the 80's and 90's. Hopefully that ends soon because I don't like it

I don't know who is going to be more sad about leaving the WCHA Happy or all the UND fans. Just think in three years the UND vs MN rivalry will be dead and we will never see anymore UND or MN fans posting in each others threads. It will be a long distant memory.

Agreed. Although, for many UND fans DU has already displaced Minnesota as our top rival. That will only further itself when the National gets underway.

The truth of Minnesota's position was: we don't want to play overage Canadians BECAUSE THEY'LL BEAT OUR BALLS OFF. We'll cloak our hypocricy and cowardice in high minded rhetoric. But the truth of the matter is, we really want to hang on to our balls.

Geez, I'm not sure. Maybe it's being the flagship school in one of only two states (in those days) producing DI hockey players. Pretty easy to pontificate about buying local when you own the mall. Where was DU supposed to get its players, Oklahoma? I'd want to keep my balls, yours are a different matter.

I carry them with me wherever I go in a specially designed leather case. You can sniff them whenever you like.
