So instead of $200k - $500k revenue losses for each team; it'll only be $100k - $400k? I'm imagining that fat TV contract will make up the difference. Right? Oh wait ... whut?
And of course by "always" you actually mean it became about recruiting after everyone here shot holes in every other invented rationalization for the league's formation.That is true, but this league was always about recruiting and DU has been landing some great recruits for 2013 since the league was announced.
That being said; with only six, seven or eight teams to share the playoff revenue, less travel needed for a smaller league with and fairly large buildings to host the playoffs and championships I wouldn't expect too much of a drop-off from the $100,000 per team playoff shares currently available in the WCHA.
